| Since the new century,China’s urbanization process has developed c ontinuously,and the urban population has increased sharply.This socio-economic background provides a vast creative space and audience for urban emotional drama with the theme of urban men’s and women’s emotional life.Urban emotional drama has become an important part of the film and television drama market.Since the new century,the urban emotional drama,which is s hot in the real urban space and tells the story of marriage and love with a sense of reality,has constructed with the real value of marriage and love between men and women in the city.With the awakening of women’s consciousness brought by social and economic development,more and more women come out of their families and enter the social workplace,which has triggered a discussion on gender division of labor and social roles.Facing the awakening of women,men’s social roles and self cognition have changed.Since the new century,urban emotional dramas have created many representative mal e characters,which are also the epitome of all living beings of urban men.Their creation reflects the patriarchal consciousness a nd gender view of the real society.Using the methods of text analysis and comparative analysis,this paper selects131 male characters in 78 urban emotional dramas from 2000 to 20 20 as the research sample.Most of the samples are from the perspective of m ale dominance or female fantasy,and most of them are from the perspective of male dominance or female fantasy.The shaping of male role image not only reflects the regulation and digestion of patriarchal ideology and gender culture,but also contains the male compromise in the commercial production logic of film and television industry.As a popular literary and artistic work booming since the new century,the male image shaping of urban emotional drama is based on the real urban space,and its values are reacted on the audience with wide dissemination,affecting the construction of male and female social roles.Urban emotional drama needs to break the barriers of stereotype existin g in current role creation,and reflect the possibility of men in family and social roles in many aspects from the realistic social environment. |
