Ethnic integration is the main goal of ethnic work in the new era.Guiding ethnic minority compatriots into mainstream society and realize the unity and progress of ethnic groups are the basic requirements of ethnic integration.For ethnic minority are as,ethnic minority residents use communities as living environments,which form c olonies and mixed residing,so it is also necessary to start with community integration to promote their ethnic integration.At present,in practice,most social workers or groups only follow the concept of supporting vulnerable groups in their work of community integration,focus on material assistance and life assistance,which makes work more difficult to achieve.In fact,ethnic minority compatriots should not be equated with vulnerable groups.The wrong job positioning will lead to the "displace ment of supply and demand" among social workers,and the sense of acquisition of ethnic compatriots is seriously insufficient.Social workers,as one of the service providers of the community,can design work dimensions that meet the needs of ethnic residents according to their identity.Starting from the practical nature of social work,this paper uses methods and tec hniques focus on group work and supplemented by casework to promote the integratio n of residents into the community.First of all,during the research phase,the current situation of community integration in R communities with ethnic minority residents as the main body is understood through questionnaires,and the reasons for their low in tegration include: the deviation of residents’ perception of ethnic identity;the lack of self-confidence in ethnic language and culture;the isolation of community living space;and the lack of communication platform functions.Second,understanding and mastering the real needs of residents through community visits and individual interviews mainly include two aspects: the needs of community interaction,ethnic ide ntity and ethnic cultural identity needs.Finally,the intervention of the team accordi ng to needs.To achieve several work goals of improving ethnic cognition,establishi ng self-confidence in their own ethnic identity and ethnic culture,improving resid ents’ avoidance of community communication problems,and enhancing their sense of belonging and ownership of the community.Finally,the process evaluation and result s evaluation of the work of the group are carried out,and to summarize the work of the group’s work services.At the end of this article,the implementation paradigm of promoting community integration in ethnic minority areas is discussed.The main point of view comes from the summary and reflection of the work of social workers in the community.The auth or believes that promoting community integration in ethnic minority areas can be impl emented from three aspects: promoting community integration with ethnic festivals as the focus,and ethnic work.The ministry promotes community communication for the backbone and coordinates community services with basic services as the carrier.
