The number of people with Alzheimer’s disease is increasing under the trend of deepening aging in China, which affects the life, health and safety of the elderly. Therefore, active prevention and response to Alzheimer’s disease is an inevitable requirement for social development. At the same time, the growing number of elderly people with Alzheimer’s disease has also contributed to an increase in the overall demand for care services. At present, family pension is still the main way of pension in my country. Thus, family members are the main group providing care services. But in the process of caring, due to the lack of professional care knowledge and skills for family caregivers, coupled with the particularity of Alzheimer’s disease, family caregivers will inevitably generate pressure in the process of caring for the elderly, which will adversely affect their physical and mental development. Therefore,in order to help family caregivers deal with the pressure problems faced in the nursing process, help them relieve pressure and enhance their ability to cope with pressure, and at the same time improve their professional care knowledge and skills, workers use the professional methods of social work to actively develop this problem. This article focuses on the stress of family caregivers of Alzheimer’s disease from the perspective of social work. The workers take the family caregivers of the elderly with Alzheimer’s disease in the W community of Weifang City as the research object.Under the guidance of social support theory and empowerment theory, they intervene in the method of group work, from the problems faced by family caregivers. To explore the most appropriate and appropriate method to solve the problem,to make up for the lack of social work research in this area.First, the workers used questionnaires and semi-structured interviews to investigate the basic situation of family caregivers of the elderly with Alzheimer’s disease in the W community.Issues faced by family carers in the care process.Through the analysis of the survey results, combined with social support theory and empowerment theory,a preliminary plan for group work is formulated,so as to ensure the pertinence and effectiveness of the activity content.Afterwards, the workers identified the group members through interviews and voluntary principles, and further measured and analyzed the stress level of family caregivers through scales, made appropriate adjustments to the specific content of the group activities, and finally determined the seven group activities.main content.During the group activities, the workers use the professional methods and skills of social work to help the team members relieve the pressure accumulated in the care process and improve their professional care knowledge and skills. After the group activities, the workers found that the pressure of the family caregivers group had eased by analyzing the evaluation results and quantitative evaluation results of the group members. However, the stress of family caregivers is the result of a combination of factors, and the effect of group activities is limited. Finally, the workers summarize and reflect on the whole group activity process, analyze the strengths and weaknesses of group work in solving such problems, and propose methods for optimizing services. At the same time, workers should also continuously improve their professional quality and professional practical ability to provide better services in future social work services.
