Fox Digital Labor Theory Researc

Under the famous "blind spot" debate,influenced by Smythe and contemporary cultural research trends,and based on Marx’s labor theory of value,alienated labor theory and other research perspectives,Fuchs put labor issues back into the study of contemporary information capitalist society.Fox demonstrated various forms of labor under the international digital division of labor system,demonstrated his broad concept of digital labor by introducing the "theoretical toolbox" of digital labor and Hegel’s subject and object dialectics,and explored the new working-class revolutionary theory for the return of contemporary digital labor to digital work.The paper combs the background and theoretical content of "Fuchs’ digital labor Theory",the representative of foreign digital labor theory,evaluates and analyzes Fuchs’ digital labor theory from the standpoint of Marxism,and determines the contribution and limitation of digital labor theory.According to this paper,Fuchs divided users on social media platforms into the camp of digital labor,which not only blurred Marx’s distinction between productive labor and non-productive labor,but also confused the concepts of labor,work and activity,constantly expanded the extension of labor,and drew almost all modern people’s activities into his ranks of digital labor.The opposition between labor and capital has disappeared,and it has become a war of all against all,which violates Marx’s labor theory of value.In addition,Fuchs failed to find the major turning point in Marx’s thought in time,confused Marx’s labor theory of value with the theory of alienation of labor,and did not realize the tense tension between science and humanity in Marx’s thought.In fact,he separated the complete man in Marx’s Economic and Philosophical Manuscript of 1844,and misunderstood Marx’s thought of the essence of class.
