In the context of globalization,with frequent exchanges between countries,people are eager to know more about the world and the diverse cultures from other countries.As an important carrier of culture,literary works have become a bridge of cultural exchange between different countries."Cultural inheritance and understanding",one of the four core qualities in the Chinese Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(The 2017 version was revised in 2020)(hereinafter referred to as the "New Curriculum Standards"),clearly requires that students should understand and learn from the cultures of different nationalities and regions,expand their cultural horizons and enhance their cultural consciousness.In addition,the new curriculum has set up a special task group of "Study of Works by Foreign writers" to carry out cultural exploration.As an important window for us to understand the social and cultural features of other countries and nations in different periods and the spiritual world of human beings,foreign literary works depict many different historical pictures for us,which can not only broaden students’ cultural vision and enrich their cultural knowledge,but also improve their aesthetic taste and moral cultivation.However,from the perspective of the current real research on Chinese teaching in middle school,practical problems such as fewer class hours arrangement and weak student foundation make it difficult to implement the task group,and the vast majority of teachers still choose the traditional teaching without carrying out in-depth research.Therefore,this paper attempts to make use of relevant education and teaching theories,and fully consider the characteristics of the Chinese subject,to analyze and explore the problems of the teaching of foreign writers’ works,research out feasible strategies and methods,and take the teaching of foreign works in the third unit of the optional compulsory course(Volume1)as an example to carry out a group text teaching design,to promote the implementation and development of this learning task group.The introduction consists of five sections.The first section explores the research reasons and value of the study task group of "study of foreign writers’ Works" from the practical perspectives of the new curriculum standard and the requirements of the college entrance examination.The second section makes a literature review according to the current teaching status of foreign literature works in high school,and then illustrates the main research methods adopted in this paper.The fourth section defines the concepts of "optional compulsory courses","learning task groups" and "foreign writers’ work study",and puts forward the theoretical basis,and finally explains the innovation of this research.The first chapter mainly analyzes and clarifies the new requirements of the new curriculum standard,the new textbooks and the new college entrance examination on the teaching of foreign literary works in high school by analyzing the selected foreign texts of the unified edition of high school Chinese textbooks.The second chapter is to understand the implementation status of the task group of "Foreign writers’ work Study" by means of questionnaire survey and face-to-face interview,and find out the problems and analyze the reasons.The third chapter puts forward the corresponding implementation strategies,including theoretical strategies and specific instructional design,to provide examples and references for the implementation of the learning task group.
