In school education,classroom teaching is the most important teaching method,and teaching quality is mainly reflected through teacher instructional design.Emphasizing the development of students’ core competencies in instructional design is an important part of improving teaching quality.Currently,many high schools are conducting research and experiments on "unit curriculum design" and have made some achievements in this regard.However,the implementation of "unit curriculum design" in middle schools in China is still in its early stages,so it is imperative to carry out the reform of "unit curriculum design".Only through the continuous exploration and practice of teachers can the ideas and methods of unit design be effectively implemented in the classroom.Therefore,based on the concept of core mathematical literacy,this study analyzes the teaching of trigonometric function units in high school mathematics.This study uses literature research,questionnaire survey,and case analysis methods to further explore the teaching issues of mathematical units under the core literacy of mathematics,using the teaching part of trigonometric function units in high school mathematics as a teaching case.Firstly,by reviewing a large amount of literature on the teaching of trigonometric function units guided by mathematical core literacy,and summarizing relevant research results at home and abroad,the basic content of trigonometric function unit teaching guided by mathematical core literacy is briefly described.This includes steps such as analyzing teaching elements,planning unit themes,determining unit objectives,and conducting unit evaluations.Secondly,a questionnaire survey was conducted based on the actual situation of trigonometric function teaching to gain a deeper understanding and analysis of the current teaching situation.Then,within the framework of mathematical unit teaching,design the teaching content of trigonometric functions to identify the problems and shortcomings of trigonometric function unit teaching under the guidance of mathematical core literacy.Finally,conduct in-depth discussions from both the school and teachers,and propose corresponding improvement suggestions to enhance the mathematical core literacy in trigonometric function unit teaching.The research concludes that teachers should first systematically study the unit teaching theory before teaching,based on the unit as a whole,and pay attention to the principles of overall and phased teaching content.When teaching,attention should be paid to the characteristics of unit teaching,teaching problems and activities should be carefully designed,and teaching methods should be optimized.Unit teaching should become the norm for teachers’ teaching.Unit teaching evaluation is an important aspect of testing the effectiveness of unit teaching execution.It advocates for diversity in evaluation and adopts various evaluation methods such as self-evaluation,mutual evaluation,and teacher evaluation.During the evaluation process,attention should be paid not only to students’ learning effectiveness and methods,but also to the changes in students’ emotions during learning,laying the foundation for ensuring the effective implementation of unit teaching.The research proposes the following suggestions:(1)At the school level,carry out teaching reform supported by core literacy concepts,and create a good learning atmosphere;Utilize the functions of the school’s professional teaching research center to promote the professional development of teachers.(2)At the teacher level,unify ideas with the school,strengthen understanding of core competencies and clarify teaching elements based on actual teaching work,and deeply penetrate mathematical thinking methods;Pay attention to the evaluation of core competencies and cultivate practical problem-solving abilities.
