Research On High School "Probability And Statistics" Large Unit Teaching Based On Mathematical Core Literacy

The focus of the new round of education deepening reform is to implement quality education and cultivate the talents needed in the new era.To implement quality education,it is necessary to transform examination oriented education into quality education in every subject teaching.Based on this,the "High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)" proposed six core mathematical literacy,clarifying the need to implement mathematical core literacy and the concept of quality education in mathematics teaching.Large unit teaching is an effective way to implement mathematical core literacy,which emphasizes the continuity of teaching content and the logic of knowledge,and develops students’ mathematical core literacy.Therefore,the teaching design of high school "probability and statistics" large unit based on core literacy is a practice of implementing mathematical core literacy and quality education concepts,and provides reference for front-line teachers.This article first reviews the literature,conducts research and analysis,and understands the current research status of mathematical core literacy,large unit teaching,and high school "probability and statistics" teaching.Then,it conducts a "probability and statistics" mathematical core literacy level test for two classes of students in a high school in Huangshi City,and draws the following conclusions:(1)The level of mathematical core literacy is not high;(2)"Probability and statistics" knowledge is not systematic;(3)Poor ability to transfer "probability and statistics" knowledge;(4)There are difficulties in understanding complex concepts.Then,six senior three math teachers from the school were interviewed from both theoretical and practical aspects,and it was learned that the teachers did not have a deep understanding of mathematical core literacy,and their implementation of mathematical core literacy in daily teaching was not in place.At the same time,most teachers did not understand large unit teaching and had never conducted large unit teaching.Based on the analysis of the current teaching situation,four strategies for teaching design of the "probability and statistics" large unit in high school are proposed;(1)Grasp the teaching material as a whole and reorganize the unit content;(2)Reset unit objectives and implement core literacy;(3)Paying attention to the teaching process and optimizing the units;(4)Develop multiple evaluations to promote teaching reflection.Based on the strategy of combining constructivism theory,system theory,and the "ADDIE" model,this paper conducts a large unit instructional design study on the content of "probability and statistics" in high school.When designing large unit teaching,it is necessary to take the core mathematical literacy as the guide and determine the content of the large unit;Analyze teaching elements and clarify the objectives of the large unit and academic evaluation requirements;Structural design of large units and restructuring of teaching content;Teaching design based on class hours to implement the objectives of large units;Construct an evaluation system to optimize the teaching mode,and finally form a complete large unit teaching design.It is hoped that this research can provide inspiration for the subsequent teaching design of large units.
