With the growth of the market demand,the complexity of the function of integrated circuit shows exponential growth and the traditional directional test cannot fulfill the needs of the verification work.How to reduce the verification time and improve the efficiency has become one of the most pressing issues in the industry.High Performance Network Over Coax(HINOC)is a new Ethernet over Coax(EOC)technology proposed by our country under the background of Three Networks Convergence to achieve the basic objective of the next generation networks.In this paper,the RTL code of the HIPHY system in the coprocessor of the HINOC network is functional verified to make sure the correctness of the logic function.Firstly,the detailed analysis and study of the mainstream Universal Verification Methodology(UVM)in the industry is described,and its history,basic characteristics,core component and key mechanism are introduced,which provides a theoretical foundation for the whole paper.Secondly,the HIPHY system relevant knowledge and the key register and module interface are analysed in detail,based on which the verification platform for the HIPHY is constructed.After that,the verification platform for the HIPHY system is designed using the System Verilog based on the UVM and the verification requirements,and the corresponding test cases are designed as well.Finally,the HIPHY system is verified according to the transaction level modeling and the coverage-driven verification mode.The the verification results are analysed and summarized which shows the correctness of the logic function of the HIPHY system.
