Design And Implementation Of Admission Control And Link Maintenance In HINOC System

High Performance Network Over Coax(HINOC)is a new broadband access technology with independent property,which is proposed by our researchers to comply with the tendency of "Triple Play".Compared with other EoC protocols,HINOC has the advantages of high access speed,compatiable with CATV and so on.Nowadays,the software and hardware of HINOC system have been realized.In the article,we introduce two parts of the HINOC software,the driver and the application program.The driver focus on the MAC signalling process,including HINOC nodes admission control and link maintenance.In the article,the design theory of signalling is presentation firstly,then the state transition diagram and SDL figure are privided.Base on above knowing,we discuss the process of it’s realization and some important interfaces with other function modules,especially the HINOC scheduler module.Followingly,several schemes are given in order to test the signalling process code and the results proved satisfactory.Furthmore,some application programs are developped to coordinate with driver in HINOC project and analyzed in detail in the paper,including the interface definition,function description,flow chart of program and so on.
