A Research On The Practice Of "CP" Fans From The Perspective Of Cyber Feminism

CP fans are born on the Internet,move on the Internet,develop with the rise of the Internet,and move in a new interactive space outside of this physical and social space-Cyberspace.At the same time,the influence of the Internet on women has also received more and more attention,and the collision of Internet technology and feminism has led to the emergence of Cyberfeminism.The CP fans born and acted in Cyberspace,whose practice of refusing to accept gender dichotomy fits well with Cyberfeminists’ opposition to the binary system and their view of it as a product of patriarchy.Based on this background,we ask the following questions: Are CP fans cyberfeminist practitioners?How do CP fans activate in cyberspace? What are the characteristics of these activities? How do they express feminism respectively? What are the implications for the other women’s groups in cyberspace?In order to answer the above questions,this paper first analyzes the textual production activities of CP fans and points out that the concept of cisgender CP fans breaks through the gender binary,breaking the boundaries,and is a typical cyberfeminist practitioner.Then,we consider the attribute of CP fans’ "selfenclosure" from the perspective of spatial order construction,and argue that virtual communities serve as a bridge between real and virtual spaces for CP fans,through which strict rules are set to maintain the legitimacy of the group’s identity and protect the women’s right to express.The Cyberspace is virtual in some ways,so CP fans have constructed a three-fold virtual identity and gained more opportunities to express themselves,and their concerns have extended to mainstream social issues and women’s issues,which is a direct manifestation of CP fans’ fight for women’s rights.In addition,by considering the practical activities of CP fans to resist stigmatization,it is found that most CP fans are more rational and adopt the collective public interest and output classics,revealing the important role of media literacy and technical ability to enhance the discourse in Cyberspace.Finally,by summarizing the practical behaviors of CP fans,it is pointed out that the improvement of textual production capacity,the normative construction of practical order,the rational use of virtual identity,and the timely improvement of technical ability are the inspirations for the other female groups in cyberspace.
