| Social media has become the main platform for clan activities.This special group and organization with traditional clan relationship as the link,how to rebuild and maintain specific relationship on the new social media? This is the main research question of this paper.Therefore,this paper takes "Yudu Huang clan group" as the research object,using virtual ethnography and in-depth interviews to collect first-hand empirical data,trying to make a preliminary exploration.It is found that the network breaks through the space limitation of traditional patriarchal communication,and patriarchal organizations can be reconstructed virtually.Social media has become the main platform for clan activities,the transmission of collective memory and the dissemination of clan culture,and clan relations have been strengthened.Thanks to the leadership and organization of clan elites,clans build identity on social media in order to gather strength and maintain clan relations.Clan group has certain value attribute,including economic value,social value and cultural value.The clan organization mediated by social media facilitated the participation of individuals.The gender concept within the clan weakened,but it was still dominated by men and women had a low sense of participation.The clan organization mediated by social media can enhance the interaction between the clans,and contribute to the return of clan consciousness and the harmony and stability of local families and regions. |
