Research On The Significance Construction Of News Comics Awarded By "China News Award"

As a unique form of news media,news cartoon has gained tenacious vitality in the era of picture reading.From the perspective of news,it is different from text report and news photog raphy,while from the perspective of comics,news report is different from plot comics and fou r grid comics.Compared with written reports,news comics break the language barrier with po pularity and are loved by the audience.On the one hand,news comics add comment elements t o the report of events,which greatly meets the opinion demands of the audience;On the other hand,news comics use visual pictures and cartoon elements to make the audience get visual p leasure while obtaining information.News cartoon has a strong practical significance in news communication and has a certain research value.This paper takes the winning works in the news cartoon sub award of "China News Awar d",the highest award in China’s news field,as the research object,and comprehensively uses t he theoretical knowledge of journalism,communication and linguistics to analyze and summa rize the meaning construction strategy of "China News Award",so as to provide reference and reference for the development of news cartoon in the future.This paper is divided into five parts,in the first chapter of a brief description of the acade mic research on news comics.The second chapter analyzes the source,subject matter,type an d attitude of the award-winning news cartoons,further found that the award-winning news car toon in the media,reporting themes,attitudes have shown a unique characteristics.In the third chapter,based on the multi-modal Metaphor Theory,the author classifies the cartoons with m etaphor in the award-winning cartoons of the “China News Award”,it is found that there ar e six types of metaphorical representations in the winning works of the “China News awards”news cartoons,and through the classification of the types of metaphorical representations in t he news cartoons,it is found that the preferred ways of metaphorical representations are also different for different reporting subjects,the subject matter is an important factor that influenc es the metaphorical representation of news cartoons.Chapter four analyzes the other strategies of meaning construction of the award-winning news cartoons,including exaggeration,symbo lism and allusion.The fifth chapter summarizes the inspiration of the meaning construction str ategy of the award-winning news comic to the development of the news comic in China.
