Empathy:Research On The Generation And Dissemination Of Emotions In The Media Event Of "28 Years Of Wrong Life"

On April 28,2022,the first trial of the case in which the adoptive mother sued the natural mother in the case of "28 years of wrong life" reached a conclusion,which lasted for more than two years.Previously,once reported,the event quickly appeared on the Weibo Hot-Search,and attracted the attention and discussion of netizens.It was observed that the expression and dissemination of emotions were active in this event,which reflected the characteristics of empathy.Empathy is a dynamic psychological process involving emotion,cognition and behavior,with emotional sharing at its core.Therefore,this paper studies the generation and dissemination of emotions in the media event "28 years of wrong life" on the Weibo platform,to explore the empathic effect behind it.Firstly,the Octopus was used to collect data,and a total of 199,187 microblogs and comments were collected.After data preprocessing and word segmentation,the Chinese sentiment dictionary was used for sentiment analysis,and the LDA model was invoked for topic analysis in the Python environment.Finally,Gephi software was used to analyze the social network of netizens’ posts and comments.The results showed that netizens had an obvious emotional tendency to discuss this event,mainly showing "good" and "evil" two emotions.In cognition,it was reflected in the attitude of praise and criticism to the adoptive mother and the natural mother,and in behavior,it was reflected in the netizens’ repeated comments and positive comments.Overall,the empathy effect is significant.Further analysis,the reason for the significant empathy effect of this event is that the identity narrative tendency of public opinion awakens the empathy of netizens.At the same time,the active community square of Weibo gathers a lot of emotional content,which provides the context for the formation of empathy.In addition,civil opinion leaders played an important role in the information flow of this event,guiding netizens through emotional Settings and deepening their degree of empathy.
