| The media has been closely related to social life since its inception.From traditional media to algorithmic media,with the development and change of technology,the form of media is changing with each passing day,and the functions are also changing,and the changes in media have profoundly affected everyone in it,changed their way of thinking,action mode,and also brought far-reaching impact to the entire society,promoting the evolution of the communication power structure.Under the rapid change and wide coverage of media technology,the expanding media user group has gradually become a hot spot in communication research.So,what are the stages of media change in China? What are the modes of communication presented at different media stages? What kind of changes have the communication power of media users in these communication models undergone? What are the implications of the change in the power of media users to communicate?In summary,this study is based on the perspective of media change,firstly,combined with the theory of communication power to analyze the factors affecting media change,and summarize the main media stages and characteristics experienced in China from the perspective of media change.Secondly,this study selects media events closely related to media user groups in each media stage as communication cases for analysis,sorts out how the communication power mechanism evolves in different periods,summarizes the communication mode of different media stages,and analyzes the changing characteristics of media users’ communication power at each stage from the perspective of qualitative research.Finally,the impact of the evolution of user communication power is analyzed.The research shows that China’s media development can be divided into four major stages: traditional media stage led by traditional media,online media stage led by Internet platform,social media stage led by social media and algorithmic media led by algorithmic media,and the communication mode of four different media stages is presented as follows: one-way linear communication mode under media connection in the traditional media period;The two-way propagation mode of users under media bearer in the network media period;The diversified generalization mode of media and user subjects in the social media period;The personality of the media and user center in the algorithmic media period.According to the situation of media users’ communication power under the influence of different models,it has experienced four stages of low power,power climbing,power peak,and power decline,that is to say,the continuous progress of media technology has liberated the communication power of media users from the general direction,but it has not always shown a positive promotion role in the communication power of media users,and there are also negative obstacles,which also exposes the progress of media technology to bring about changes in the communication power of media users and new contradictions in social life. |
