Agricultural Insurance,Agriculture Mechanization And Agricultural Economic Development

Agricultural insurance is the "booster" for the high-quality development of agriculture and the "ballast stone" for farmers’ income.In recent years,more and more scholars have paid attention to the impact of agricultural insurance on the agricultural economy.In order to make agricultural insurance better serve the development of agricultural economy and even the high-quality development of agriculture,it is particularly important to explore the intermediary channels through which agricultural insurance affects the development of agricultural economy.Agricultural insurance can encourage farmers to adopt advanced production technologies.The use of agricultural machinery is one of the advanced production technologies and will be affected by agricultural insurance.Agricultural mechanization is the modernization and even highquality development of agriculture.Important way.Therefore,it is of great significance to further explore whether agricultural insurance will affect the level of agricultural mechanization and thus the mechanism of agricultural economic development.This paper attempts to explain the mechanism of agricultural insurance affecting agricultural economic development from the level of agricultural mechanization.This article uses the panel data selection regression model and the intermediary effect model of 30 provinces in China from 2007 to 2018 to test,and the agricultural insuranceagricultural mechanization level—The development of agricultural economy is the analytical path to conduct empirical research on whether the level of agricultural mechanization has an intermediary effect in the influence of agricultural insurance on agricultural economic development.The research found that agricultural insurance not only directly promotes agricultural economic development,but also indirectly affects agricultural economic development through the intermediary mechanism of agricultural mechanization level,that is,agricultural mechanization level has an intermediary effect between agricultural insurance and agricultural economic development.Further analysis of the heterogeneity of the mediating effect on topographic factors and risk levels found that in plateaumountain terrain areas,due to the difficulty of agricultural machinery operation,the mediation mechanism of agricultural insurance that affects agricultural mechanization and thus agricultural economic development is not significant.In high-risk areas of agricultural production,agricultural production risks have not been fully dispersed,and agricultural insurance cannot promote farmers to choose advanced production technologies such as agricultural mechanization.As a result,agricultural insurance in these areas has an insignificant agricultural mechanization intermediary mechanism for agricultural economic development,while agricultural production The intermediary effect in low-risk areas is still significant.In non-major food production areas,smallscale retail agricultural production is mostly,which is not conducive to the input and use of agricultural machinery.As a result,agricultural insurance indirectly promotes agricultural economic development by promoting agricultural mechanization.Obviously,in the main grain production areas,large-scale agricultural production models are relatively mature,and the demand for agricultural insurance is also greater.Moreover,large-scale agricultural production requires the participation of agricultural machinery.The improvement of the agricultural insurance level will significantly promote the improvement of the level of agricultural mechanization,which in turn promotes the development of agricultural economy,that is,the intermediary mechanism is significant.
