A Research On The Influence Of Digitization Degree On Companies Performance

As a new economic form,digital economy can promote the quality of economic development,promote the revitalization of the real economy and accelerate the transformation and upgrading.As an important pillar of China’s economy,manufacturing enterprises should actively carry out digital transformation and upgrading to build a new development pattern of manufacturing industry.First of all,this paper systematically sorts out the relevant researches on the influence of the degree of digitization on business performance,the influence path and the difference of the influence of the degree of digitization on business performance under different situations.Secondly,by referring to existing studies,this article attempts to construct an evaluation system for the digitalization degree of manufacturing enterprises from six dimensions,including product research and development and design,material procurement,manufacturing,product supply,product sales and operation management.Finally,according to the evaluation system,3761 samples of A-share listed manufacturing enterprises from 2011 to 2019 were screened by text mining method from China’s A-share listed manufacturing enterprises,and the theoretical hypotheses were tested by OLS method,finally drawing the following research conclusions:First,the improvement of digitalization degree of manufacturing enterprises can effectively promote the improvement of business performance.Second,the improvement of enterprise digitalization degree can significantly improve the business performance through material procurement and operation management,while the improvement effect of manufacturing link is not significant.Third,the improvement of digitization degree of enterprises in different contexts has different effects on performance improvement.The improvement of digitization degree of large enterprises,non-state-owned enterprises and enterprises in central and eastern regions has better effect on business performance than micro,small and medium-sized enterprises,stateowned enterprises and enterprises in northwest China,respectively.
