Research On The Impact Of Agricultural Insurance Development On Agricultural Total Factor Productivity In Yunnan Province

The Strategic Plan for Rural Revitalization mentioned that on the basis of local resource endowment,developing characteristic resources and creating competitive advantage areas of characteristic agricultural products provided policy support for Yunnan to develop plateau characteristic agriculture.After the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy,the development of rural economy has become the strategic focus of the province’s economic work.Academic circles believe that the improvement of agricultural total factor productivity(agricultural TFP)is the key to the healthy development of rural economy.Agricultural insurance in Yunnan province has a long history and has become an important tool to ensure the agricultural development of Yunnan province.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the influence of agricultural insurance development on agricultural TFP in Yunnan province to promote the stable development of rural economy and implement the rural revitalization strategy in Yunnan province.Based on the background of frequent natural disasters and low level of agricultural production in Yunnan province,this paper carries out research.Firstly,the relevant literature and theories of agricultural insurance and agricultural TFP were reviewed.Through sorting and summarizing,the mechanism of agricultural insurance development on agricultural TFP in Yunnan province was summarized.Secondly,the present situation of agricultural insurance and agricultural TFP in Yunnan province was studied,and it was found that the overall development level and speed of agricultural insurance in Yunnan province had been significantly improved,and the number of business entities gradually increased,but there were significant differences in agricultural TFP between regions.Finally,based on the 2010-2019 panel data of each city in Yunnan province,the spatial Dubin model was constructed to analyze the impact of agricultural insurance development on agricultural TFP in Yunnan province and the regional differences among the impacts.The empirical results show that:(1)The development of agricultural insurance plays a significant role in promoting agricultural TFP;(2)The distribution of agricultural TFP in each city of Yunnan province has a negative spatial correlation,and each city will be affected by the surrounding city;(3)Agricultural planting structure and urbanization rate have a significant positive impact on agricultural TFP.Finally,combining with the empirical conclusion,the article puts forward to increase the demand and supply of agricultural insurance and vigorously develop the agricultural insurance market;Implementing differentiated insurance policies in regional cooperation to comprehensively improve agricultural TFP;Strengthen the guidance of agricultural insurance to optimize the planting structure and build characteristic agricultural products brand countermeasures and suggestions.
