In recent years,in order to improve the competitiveness of the industry,China Post Express has introduced many measures,which have significantly improved in enterprise strategy,product composition,equipment renewal a nd other aspects.However,from the market share of express business in recent years,China Post,once the leading enterprise in China’s express market,is facing tremendous pressure and fierce market competition.In 2020,China’s express business volume exceeded 83 billion pieces,an increase of about 30% over the same period last year.According to the information released by the State Post Office of the People’s Republic of China on December 8,2021,the volume of express business in China has reached 10 0 billion pieces in 2021.From 0 to 1 billion,China Express took 26 years;from 1 billion to 10 billion,it took 8 years;and from 10 billion to 100 billion,it took only 7 years.Due to the amazing development speed and strong potential of China’s expres s business in recent years,many express companies at home and abroad have been attracted by China’s express market and quickly entered the market.The domestic private express companies with strong momentum have gradually occupied a dominant position in China’s express market through their own strategic planning and the vigorous development of the domestic e-commerce market in recent years.With the rapid rise of private enterprises,China Post Express urgently needs to carefully analyze its own competitiveness,find out the unfavorable and favorable factors affecting its competitiveness,fully demonstrate the image of the "national team" of the industry,and return to the leading position in the market.In view of this,with the data of Yanbian Branch of C hina Post Group Co.,Ltd.,according to the Ser-M & Nine Elements Integrated Competitiveness Model proposed by Cho & Lee(1998),this paper systematically analyzes the competitiveness of China Post’s express business from the perspective of enterprise comp etitiveness,focusing on the four aspects of subject,environment,resources and mechanism.According to Cho & Lee(1998)’s four-stage index system of enterprise competitiveness,combined with the current market situation and enterprise development ability,this paper judges the current development stage of China Post Express,excavates the main problems existing in the current express business,and tries to put forward the new strategic vision of China Post Express and the specific measures to enhance its competitiveness.The conclusion of this paper is that compared with other private express enterprises,China Post,as the only state-owned enterprise in China,its express business is at the level of competition in the developed stage.However,there are s till some problems to be solved urgently,such as the imbalance of enterprise system and organizational structure,the weak sense of market development and competition,the slow improvement of core resources,and the need to improve service capabilities an d levels,so as to enhance the competitiveness of China Post Express. |
