Research On The Influence Of Urban Agglomeration Innovation Network Characteristics And Urban Innovation Performance

According to the 14 th Five-Year Plan,a new pattern of western development is urgently needed to solve the disparity of economic development among western cities.As an important platform for western development,Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration is responsible for the sustainable and balanced economic development of western region.The innovation network of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration can promote the flow and sharing of innovation resources and knowledge among cities in the agglomeration,thus improving the innovation capacity of cities in the network and alleviating the problem of uneven urban development.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze the influence of the innovation network characteristics of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration on the innovation performance of cities in the agglomeration.In addition,since cities are embedded in the innovation network of urban agglomeration,intra-city innovation network and external innovation network of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration at the same time,urban innovation is interactively influenced by multilevel innovation networks,so it is necessary to consider the moderating effect of intra-city innovation network and external innovation network of urban agglomeration on the above influence.Based on this,this paper takes 16 urban in Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration as the research object and constructs intra-city innovation network,urban agglomeration innovation network,and cross-urban agglomeration innovation network at three scales of "city-urban agglomeration-country" with industryacademia-research joint patent application data.Firstly,social network analysis is applied to analyze the evolution of innovation networks at different scales.Then,based on social network theory,knowledge absorptive capacity theory,and knowledge search theory,the influence of urban agglomeration innovation networks on urban innovation performance,as well as the inner mechanism of intra-city innovation networks and cross-urban agglomeration innovation networks on the above relationships are sorted out.Finally,a negative binomial regression model is introduced for empirical testing.The research results show that.(1)The overall network properties of the innovation network of ChengduChongqing urban agglomeration indicate that the innovation network is in the development stage,and there are significant differences in the degree of relational embedding and structural embedding of each city in the innovation network of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration;there are significant differences in the cooperation of innovation agents within each city,and there are significant differences in the cooperation of each city across urban agglomeration.(2)The Degree Centrality,Connection Strength,and Density in the innovation network of urban agglomeration have significant positive effects on the innovation performance of urban.(3)There is no significant moderating effect of Density on the relationship between Connection Strength and innovation performance and the relationship between Degree Centrality and innovation performance.(4)The Average Weighted Degree of intra-city innovation network positively moderates the relationship between Degree Centrality,Density and city innovation performance,but does not significantly moderate the relationship between Connection Strength and city innovation performance.(5)Urban in cross-urban agglomeration innovation networks negatively moderate the relationship between Degree Centrality,Connection Strength,Density and city innovation performance.
