Mongolia is a country with a long history of livestock development, and enriching and optimizing the export structure with meat, textiles and animal hides through the development of livestock industry has gradually become an important opportunity for the economic development of Mongolia’s livestock industry.Since the 21st century, economic globalization and regional economic integration have become more and more obvious and the mainstream trend of international economic development.Under this trend, countries around the world objectively recognize the inherent need for regional economic cooperation and adopt different forms of cooperation models in order to seek maximum benefits for their own countries and even the region.Mongolia has been implementing independent diplomacy since it got rid of the Soviet influence in the early 1990s.China and Mongolia are neighbors and are located in the center of the Asian tectonic plate, while China is recognized as a major agricultural power in the world. In addition, the two sides are also steadily moving forward in cooperation in the economic and trade fields.Mongolia is an important hub country of China’s "Belt and Road"initiative;and the "Steppe Road" strategy proposed by the country in 2014 and China’s "Belt and Road" initiative together provide a convenient channel for Sino-Western exchanges and cooperation. The "Steppe Road" strategy proposed by the country in 2014 and China’s "One Belt,One Road" initiative together provide a convenient channel for exchange and cooperation between China and the West.、The industrial structure of Mongolia and China has strong complementarity, and studying the development status of Mongolia’s livestock industry is conducive to bringing into full play the geographical advantages of China and Mongolia and making full use of their comparative advantages to achieve complementary industrial structures and resources. From the perspective of arable land area,China has a large population and the per capita arable land area is less than 1/3 of Mongolia, while Mongolia is richer in arable land resources than China. In terms of labor resources, the two countries are very different. As a large population country,China has abundant labor resources, and China can take advantage of its population to cooperate with Mongolia in agriculture. In terms of technology level,China’s agricultural intensification is higher than Mongolia’s,and Mongolia can introduce China’s advanced technology to develop its own agriculture.China and Mongolia have certain complementarity in agricultural resources, which provides the basis for agricultural cooperation between the two countries.Mongolia has rich mineral resources, vast natural grasslands and a developed livestock industry, but its production methods are backward, its domestic market is small and it lacks advanced production technology and management experience, while China can provide assistance in terms of capital, technology, talents and management. With the deepening of economic globalization and the deepening of international division of labor, trade between China and Mongolia has become an unstoppable trend.
