Ulanhu Animal Husbandry And Economic Thought

Wu Lanfu's thought of animal husbandry economy is an important part in Wu Lanfu's research. Wu Lanfu is an outstanding leader and theorist of minority affairs. Research in early stages mostly talks about minority theory and practice, but comparatively less concentrated on animal husbandry economy. Thanks to the great effort of Wu Lanfu, during his about 20 years'work in Inner Mongolia, Animal husbandry economy of Inner Mongolia has witnessed unprecedented development. This paper will focus on his thought of animal husbandry economy, systematically analyze and summarize how and why it is formed, its main content and importance in history. The introduction part, which briefly reviews academic history of Wu Lanfu's thought of animal husbandry economy, specifically indicating that not enough research has been done in this field and further study is also required. This section also discusses research topics coverage and key points. This paper includes the following four sections:The first section discusses the forming process of Wu Lanfu's thought of animal husbandry economy. The thought budded from democratic reform in stock-raising areas, formed in the socialist transformation of animal husbandry in Inner Mongolia and prospered in the period of comprehensively developing socialism.The second section summarizes the main content of Wu Lanfu's thought of animal husbandry economy, which is: everything proceeds from reality, to vigorously develop animal husbandry economy, to strengthen the infrastructure construction of stock-raising areas with the grassland construction as the core, and to develop animal husbandry economy for the purpose of improving pastoralists' living conditions constantly.Section three analyses the main reason of forming Wu Lanfu's thought of animal husbandry economy. The backwardness of Inner Mongolia is the realistic basis of Wu Lanfu's thought of animal husbandry economy; the favorable conditions of Inner Mongolian animal husbandry is the prerequisite of Wu lanfu's research on pastoral economy; the long-term regional nation practical work is basis of his thinking; Marxism thinking is the solid theory foundation of Wu Lanfu's thought of animal husbandry economy, and his love towards Mongolian people is the critical factor on promoting the forming of his thought.Section four proves the historical importance of his thought. Theoretically, the thought is an important ideological guidance for the economic development of Inner Mongolia animal husbandry. From a practical view, his thought speeds up the rapid development of the minority regional econom, which is reflected as follows: the remarkable increase of animal husbandry production, the major breakthrough in animal husbandry science and technology, the big success on grassland construction, the great improvements on pastoralists' living conditions, and the ethnic equality and solidarity from an ethnic point of view.
