With the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2019,it has brought unprecedented challenges and impacts to employees in China even in the world.This pandemic is a serious public health emergency with sudden,unpredictable and contagious nature.The pandemic has put economic development on hold,but people’s work is still ongoing.Employees’ work style is changed and they have to face new tasks and challenges every day due to the hindered of company business caused by COVID-19.Many people even have more workload,faster work pace and greater pressure than before due to the effect of COVID-19,and this also caused the loss of employee’s happiness of work and a negative impact on the physical and mental health.The organization environment is dynamic and uncertain due to the effect of COVID-19,and only with the promoting of employees to taking change,enterprises can operate efficiently under the pandemic.Taking charge means the behavior that employee improves the organization process and policy in an innovational way to continuous improve the development of the enterprise.Nowadays,job stress of employees is affected by the pandemic,and it also brings serious bad affect to employee self and organization.The impact of job stress under COVID-19 on taking charge is uncertainty,and the existing literature lacks in-depth research on the relationship between job stress and taking charge.In view of this,from the perspective of pandemic,this article is aimed to study the influence of job stress on employees’ taking change under pandemic situation based on conservation of resources theory.This article is expected to supplement relevant literature of taking change and provide knowledge for practical work.In this study,282 data obtained by questionnaire were analyzed by correlation analysis,regression analysis,mediating effect analysis,and moderating effect analysis through SPSS software.The main conclusions are as follows:COVID-19-induced job stress has a negative impact on taking charge;COVID-19-induced job stress has a positive impact on emotional exhaustion.Emotional exhaustion has a negative impact on taking charge.Emotional exhaustion plays a mediating role between COVID-19induced job stress and taking charge.Perceived organizational support for the COVID-19 pandemic plays a moderating role between emotional exhaustion and taking charge.When perceived organizational support for the COVID-19 pandemic is higher,the negative relationship between emotional exhaustion and taking charge will be weaker.
