Research On The Regional Renewal Of Zhangjiang Science City From The Perspective Of Global City Theor

The regional renewal of Zhangjiang Science City in the past three decades has experienced the transformation from township industrial zones to high-tech industrial parks.In the stage of material condition renewal,the government plans to promote industrial transformation and agglomeration,and then implements the rolling land development and public welfare plan in the form of public-private partnership,so as to initially solve the problem of attracting investment.The former Zhangjiang High-tech Park has gradually developed from the prototype of industrial agglomeration to a national demonstration park with biomedicine and integrated circuit as the main industries.Since then,the new driving force for the renewal of Zhangjiang High Tech Park into Zhangjiang Science City has not only been the material conditions such as land and industry.From the attention to "people","livability" and "culture" in the planning of Science City,it can be seen that building a public space and place brand that meets the living needs of the middle class with professional technology in science city,or building a sense of trust in settlement space will become the key to the renewal goal of industry city integration in the region,as well as the key to retain and attract talents.Based on the spatial theory of new urban sociology and global city theory,this paper takes the elements of settlement space from the perspective of social space,and the synergy of culture and economy from the perspective of global city as the axis throughout the research.From the three aspects of industrial space,renewal concept and planning policy adjustment,this paper explains and analyzes the three periods of renewal experience of Zhangjiang Science City,which are the period of unplanned township industry;the period of the government mainly dividing the regional functions,and the industrial upgrading driven by land market development;the transition period from industrial priority to people-oriented.Through participatory observation,case interview,questionnaire survey,literature analysis and other research methods,taking public data and interview materials of enterprise employees of Zhangjiang Science City as important supporting materials,this paper comprehensively analyzes the renewal difficulties of Zhangjiang Science City,including short talent flow cycle,lack of settlement space meeting the needs of Science City,widespread living chaos and so on.In order that Zhangjiang Science City can create "nearby" communities in urban areas from both material and spiritual aspects,or break the spatial and hierarchical division of Science City,this study compares and analyzes the implementation effect of the specific scheme being promoted by Zhangjiang science city with the typical solutions of high-tech cities or regions with international influence.Explain the specific measures such as "layout of soft infrastructure","construction of creative class community" and "building a city brand with the brand of Science City",which are common in all science cities at present.It is concluded that after facing the homogenization crisis,conforming to the trend of "Towards Metropolis " will become a choice and development theme which is difficult to avoid.
