| Driven by the wave of economic globalization, with the development of trade liberalization, countries actively or passively participate in the global value chain system and have different competitive positions in the global value chain.China’s position in the global value chain has always been at the midstream level, and with the development of China’s economy and the improvement of its overall national strength,China’s core competitiveness in the midstream of the global value chain, the demographic dividend,is gradually disappearing, and the rise of the status of the global value chain is imminent. At the same time, the "14th Five-Year Plan" clearly pointed out that it must be driven by innovation and rank among the top innovative countries in the world. Therefore,China urgently needs to improve its own innovation capabilities.Based on theoretical analysis and empirical research, this thesis makes an in-depth study on the relationship between the source structure of intermediate goods imports and enterprise innovation with the help of the data from 2000-2007 matching the China Industrial Enterprise Database,China Import and Export Customs Database and Chinese Enterprise Patent Data. This article first combed the literature on the impact of intermediate goods import and enterprise innovation, and combed it from the perspective of the characteristics of intermediate goods, and found that most scholars have found that the import of intermediate goods has a significant positive impact on enterprise innovation. In addition, this article is about the impact mechanism When sorting out,it is understood that the path of influence is roughly through the two paths of cost and technology, which provides a reference for the theoretical mechanism of this article.Furthermore, this article analyzes and describes characteristic facts based on the sorted panel data, and draws conclusions based on characteristic facts.Next, this thesis uses the fixed effects model to construct an empirical model of the influence of the import source structure of intermediate goods on enterprise innovation, and analyzes the heterogeneity from four aspects: the nature of the country of origin, the way of trade, the export behavior, and the nature of the enterprise, and finally gives Analysis conclusion. The study found that the structure of the source of intermediate goods imports has a significant impact on enterprise innovation. The increase in the number of sources of intermediate goods can significantly improve the innovation capabilities of enterprises, and the decrease in the concentration of sources also has a significant positive impact on enterprise innovation. From the perspective of the nature of the country of origin, only imports from developed countries and at the same time imports from developed and developing countries have a significant impact;from the perspective of the nature of enterprises, the structure of the import source of intermediate goods of domestic and Sinoforeign joint ventures has a significant impact on corporate innovation; From the perspective of trade methods, processing trade has a more significant impact than general trade;from the perspective of export behavior, import companies that have export behaviors are more innovative in acquiring imported intermediate products than import companies that do not have export behaviors. Finally, based on the results of empirical analysis, this paper puts forward some policy suggestions for improving the innovation ability of enterprises: at the national level,on the one hand, the state needs to implement incentive policies such as tax rebates and subsidies;Strategic cooperation with countries such as South Korea, the United States and the United States;at the enterprise level, enterprises need to increase the diversity of source structures, while optimizing the cost and expenditure structure, and attaching importance to the cultivation of innovative talents. |
