Measurement Of Regional Economic Growth Of Coordinated Development Of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry And Logistics Industry In Shenzhen

Since the outbreak of new crown disease,the attention of Chinese residents to the pharmaceutical industry has been on the rise,especially to the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry of new crown vaccine.As an important part of high-tech industry and strategic emerging industry,the steady development of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is related to public health,social stability and economic development.In the process of the development of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry,the integration of pharmaceutical industry and modern logistics industry is becoming more and more close.Therefore,in order to get more high-quality development of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry to promote regional economic growth,it is particularly important to study the mechanism of coupling and coordinated development between pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and logistics industry.The corresponding policies issued by the state have greatly promoted the integrated development of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and logistics industry in various regions.As one of the first special economic zones in China,the coordinated development of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and logistics industry in Shenzhen has also effectively promoted the economic take-off of Shenzhen,thus becoming a super first-line metropolis.Since the beginning of the 21 st century,Shenzhen has attached great importance to the development of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry,and in 2005,the first batch of biomedical industrial base was established.At the same time,due to the unique geographical advantages of Shenzhen,its modern logistics industry has also been rapid development,which becomes one of the four pillar industries of Shenzhen’s economic development.Taking Shenzhen as an example,this thesis analyzes the coupling and coordinated development between the two industries,which is more representative,considering that both the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and the logistics industry are in the leading position in the whole country,at the same time,it can provide reference for other areas.At the same time,the study of the two industries on the role of economic growth in Shenzhen can also provide new ideas for other regional economic development research.In view of this,based on the existing manufacturing and logistics industry coupling and coordinated development mechanism,based on transaction cost theory,core competence theory and specialty division theory,this thesis deeply analyzes the coupling mechanism of pharmaceutical manufacturing and logistics industry.At the same time,based on the spillover effect and competition effect,the thesis analyzes the influence mechanism of the coordinated development of the two industries on the regional economy.On this foundation,this thesis first constructs the evaluation index system of the development level of pharmaceutical manufacturing and logistics industry from four aspects:production scale,industrial structure,growth potential and economic efficiency.Then,this thesis uses the coupling coordination model to measure the coupling coordination development degree between two industries from 2005 to 2018.Secondly,based on the Structural Vector Autoregressive model,this thesis builds SVAR1 model of the two industries coupling coordination degree,pharmaceutical industry agglomeration level and economic development level,and SVAR2 model of the two industries coupling coordination degree,pharmaceutical industry agglomeration level and economic growth rate.The results show that,firstly,the development level of the two industries is not the same.Secondly,the coupling coordination level of the two industries needs to be improved.Thirdly,the cluster of the pharmaceutical industry promotes the coupling coordination level of the two industries.Fourthly,the coupling and coordinated degree of the two industries has a significant effect on regional economic growth.According to the results of theoretical and empirical analysis,combined with the specific situation of Shenzhen,this thesis also puts forward the following policy recommendations.Firstly,the government needs to improve the preferential policies for the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and increase the support for the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.Besides,the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry also needs to make up its own shortcomings and strengthen scientific research to improve its innovation capability.Moreover,the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and the logistics industry should also make full use of Shenzhen’s geographical advantages to enhance its foreign trade capability.Finally,the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry should strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the logistics industry and continue to improve its professional ability,so as to promote regional economic growth.
