According to the Outline of the National Strategy for Innovation-driven Development,China should move toward a stage of high-quality development in which innovation-driven development is the core driving force for economic growth,and innovation should gradually become the primary driving force for economic development.Although all provinces and regions are vigorously promoting and implementing the innovation-driven development strategy,the overall efficiency of China’s innovation system has not been highlighted,the chronic problems of ineffective,obstructed and obstructed transformation of innovation achievements into final productivity have not been eradicated,and the problems of imbalanced and inadequate development of innovation-driven development among regions still exist.One of the important reasons for these problems is the serious obstruction of innovation-driven mechanism.Therefore,this paper studies the innovation-driven mechanism and its performance based on the regional level,starting from the mechanism of innovation-driven action.The main research content of this paper is as follows:(1)based on the porter diamond system theory and the reality of development of China’s innovation drive,in the build,on the basis of initial innovation index set,with the improvement of factor analysis method to get the final evaluation index to measure the innovation level,and then by using entropy and TOPSIS method to our country 30 provincial level of innovation of 2010-2019 to measure analysis.(2)Based on the selection of appropriate variables,the GWR geographical weighted regression model is used to empirically investigate the degree of innovation driving economic growth under different mechanisms,and verify the causal relationship between innovation and economy.Through empirical analysis,this paper draws the following conclusions :(1)innovation can have a positive impact on economic growth through direct and indirect driving mechanisms.In terms of indirect mechanism,innovation drives economic growth by acting on four traditional economic factors: human capital,fixed asset investment,consumption structure and industrial structure.(2)From 2010 to 2019,the overall level of innovation-driven performance in China was low,and the level of innovation-driven performance was not only affected by the direct driving effect,but also closely related to the indirect driving effect.Among them,the low level of indirect driving performance is the main reason that restricts innovation to drive economic growth effectively.(3)There is little difference in innovation-driven performance between the eastern region and the central region,while there is a great difference in innovation-driven performance between the western region,the eastern region and the central region,and the difference in innovation-driven performance is more obvious.Among them,the "mismatch" between the two drivers is more serious in the less developed western provinces,while the coordination between the two drivers is relatively good in the eastern and central provinces.(4)Although the innovation-driven performance difference between provinces exists,it shows a trend of gradual narrowing.Among them,the difference of economic development foundation and innovation environment among different regions is an important reason leading to the difference of innovation-driven performance.Finally,around both the study found that,in combination with opportunity and challenge of China’s innovation drive strategy,from promoting innovation and development and the depth of the traditional elements of integration,and promote regional innovation ecological horizontal integration,optimization of driven from three aspects of the market environment and policy environment,put forward countermeasures and Suggestions about improving the innovation drive performance.
