| Narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas is an important goal of my country’s current rural revitalization strategy,and improving agricultural labor productivity is an effective way to narrow the gap between urban and rural areas.The agricultural labor productivity in the main grain producing areas is generally lower than that in the non-main producing areas,and in terms of growth rate,the growth rate of agricultural labor productivity in the main grain producing areas has gradually slowed down in recent years.Then,what staged problems exist in the process of spatial and temporal evolution of agricultural labor productivity in major grain producing areas? What is the root cause of the slow growth rate of agricultural labor productivity? How to tap the growth potential of agricultural labor productivity in major grain producing areas? The answers to the above questions will help to further increase the growth rate of agricultural labor productivity in the main grain producing areas,increase the income of farmers from growing grains,narrow the economic gap between urban and rural areas,and provide important decision-making references for the rural revitalization of the main grain producing areas.Focusing on the above problems,this paper firstly analyzes the temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of agricultural labor productivity in Jilin Province and its evolution causes;secondly,constructs a spatial Durbin model to find out the key influencing factors of agricultural labor productivity in Jilin Province;thirdly,the key factors for agricultural labor productivity in Jilin Province are The future development trend of the influencing factors is predicted,and the problems existing in the process of agricultural labor productivity improvement are identified.Finally,corresponding policy suggestions are put forward according to the above conclusions.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)From the perspective of the time evolution trajectory,from 2004 to 2019,the development of agricultural labor productivity in Jilin Province experienced three stages of steady rise,rapid development,and fluctuating decline.(2)From the perspective of spatial evolution characteristics,there are certain differences in agricultural labor productivity among counties in Jilin Province.The overall difference showed a downward trend from 2004 to 2019,and the regional differences in the central,eastern and western regions were the main reasons for the difference in agricultural labor productivity reason.(3)From the empirical results of the spatial Durbin model,the level of machinery,agricultural and forestry fiscal expenditures and regional economic levels have a significant positive impact on agricultural labor productivity in Jilin Province,and the level of industrialization has a significant negative impact on agricultural labor productivity in Jilin Province.In addition,there is a certain spatial spillover effect in the aging rate of the labor force and the level of machinery.Due to differences in endowments,for the eastern,central and western regions of Jilin Province,the effect of each influencing factor on agricultural labor productivity has a certain regional heterogeneity.(4)In the next 10 years,although the agricultural labor productivity of Jilin Province will maintain a growth trend,the proportion of the GDP of the secondary and tertiary industries in the regional GDP will continue to expand,and the relative growth rate of agricultural labor productivity will be slow.The economic gap is widening.In response to the above conclusions,this paper puts forward the following policy suggestions: First,we should implement the foothold of urban-rural integration in rural areas,reduce the economic gap between urban and rural areas by improving agricultural labor productivity,and ultimately achieve the equalization of urban and rural economic development in Jilin Province.The second is to effectively ensure the income of the main grain-producing areas,and increase the level of agricultural and forestry financial expenditures in the main grain-producing areas.The third is to further promote the transfer of rural population to urban areas,and give full play to the "denominator effect" of the transfer of agricultural labor on the improvement of agricultural labor productivity.Fourth,we must pay attention to the inhibitory effect of the continuous growth of the aging rate of the agricultural labor force on the transformation of agricultural technology and the growth of agricultural labor productivity,strengthen the rational understanding of the labor force on new agricultural technologies,and improve the popularization,application and transformation of agricultural technologies.The fifth is to further improve the human capital level in rural areas of Jilin Province and optimize the labor force structure in rural areas. |
