With the increasingly complex business environment,enterprises are facing increasing competition.the motivation of employees is the source of enterprise vitality,so managers must stimulate the potential of employees.However,the researchers found that most employees lack work passion,show negative emotions such as boredom or complaint,and appear behaviors such as idling.Lack of work passion reduces employees’ work enthusiasm,which has a great impact on work performance.Domestic research on work passion has a short time,less relevant research content,and has not formed a systematic theoretical system.Therefore,how managers wake up employees’ work passion and make employees maintain their enthusiasm for work is an important issue worthy of academic attention.The fundamental purpose of the design of management system is to improve the effectiveness of management.The traditional centralized management practice has largely restrained the enthusiasm of employees and made their work efficiency low.Leadership behavior is an important antecedent variable affecting employees’ work passion.At present,empowering has become a hot issue for scholars and research organizations at home and abroad.Empowered leadership has the characteristics of providing meaningful work,employees’ participation in decision-making,showing confidence in high performance and employees’ high autonomy.It is an important antecedent variable affecting employees’ behavior and attitude.However,there is a lack of research on the relationship between empowering leadership and employees’ work passion.Whether this kind of leadership can promote employees’ work passion remains to be explored.Through literature review,this paper combs the basic concepts,causes and consequences of the main research variables such as empowering leadership,work passion,goal setting,goal commitment,supervisor-subordinate goal congruence,and puts forward the theoretical gaps of relevant research.Secondly,according to the goal setting theory and goal consistency theory,this paper introduces the intermediary variable goal setting,goal commitment and regulatory variable supervisor-subordinate goal congruence,and puts forward the research hypothesis and theoretical model of this paper through hypothesis deduction.then the questionnaire is designed and the empirical research method is used to further verify the model.Using SPSS 23.0 software analyzes the data.The results show that empowering leadership have a positive effect on work passion,goal setting and goal commitment play an intermediary role between empowering leadership and work passion respectively,goal setting and goal commitment play a chain intermediary role between empowering leadership and work passion,and supervisor-subordinate goal congruence positively regulates the impact of empowering leadership on goal setting and goal commitment.Finally,according to the research conclusion,this paper puts forward reasonable suggestions on how managers can awaken employees’ work passion through appropriate empowering leadership.This paper discusses the overall research,summarizes the shortcomings and limitations of the research,and looks forward to the follow-up research.
