| As an important manifestation of enterprise innovation achievements,patents have become the focus of attention in related fields such as enterprise development strategy,innovation management and science and technology industry policy.In recent years,the focus has gradually shifted from individual patents to patent portfolios.Patent portfolio refers to the combination of core patents and multiple patents to achieve multiple goals such as defense and competition.Accurately measuring the value of patent portfolios is the basis for the smooth progress of activities such as patent pledge financing,technology transactions,mergers and reorganizations,and rationally determining the appropriate form of patent portfolios is a prerequisite for effectively measuring the value of patent portfolios.The paper first selects basic indicators such as the number of citations and composite indicators such as the citation frequency with economic and technical meaning derived from the basic indicators;then proposes combination grouping methods between patent groups based on authorized regions and cross-grouping methods;and then proposes possible intra-group combinations of similar patent indicators.On this basis,an empirical study is carried out with the relevant patent data of Chinese listed manufacturing enterprises.First,the optimal combination method within the group is calculated,and the optimal combination method within the group is obtained by summing up the indicators;secondly,competitive comparison of various combinations between groups was conducted using structural equations,and by analyzing various fitting statistics of each combination,it was found that the optimal combination between groups was the cross-grouping method according to authorized regions and patent types.The robustness test is further carried out,and it is found that the conclusion of the aforementioned combination method is robust.This paper draws four main conclusions:(1)The patent portfolio structure affects the value of the patent portfolio.It is necessary to introduce the perspective of structural analysis and consider the portfolio structure when measuring.(2)Combinations between groups can be divided individually or jointly from different perspectives such as the region,type,evaluation angle,and attributes of the patent portfolio.Competitive analysis using structural equation model can judge the optimal way of combination between groups and determine the most reasonable grouping.(3)The empirical results show that the grouping method of cross grouping is better than single grouping,the definition range of cross grouping is more detailed,and it can be more Detailed description of the internal structure of different indicators of the patent portfolio.(4)The optimal combination method between groups is the cross-grouping method according to the authorized regions and patent types,and this conclusion is robust. |
