With the rapid development of the times, the service industry has gradually replaced the industry as the main industry driving China’s economic development. In the service industry,high-tech service industry,as a segmented industry with high added value and high technology content,is a well-deserved high-tech industry in the service industry.Although the high-tech service industry has broad prospects, the high-tech service industry started late and faced multiple difficulties such as small overall scale, uneven regional development, and financing difficulties. In order to develop the high-tech service industry,it is necessary to increase innovation. However, due to limitations such as the weak industrial foundation, the state of innovation activities in the high-tech service industry has always been unsatisfactory.Faced with this situation, the role of government subsidies has become prominent, but whether government subsidies can effectively promote the improvement of innovation performance is still widely debated in academia.Exactly how this policy should be implemented still needs to be further explored. This thesis takes the high-tech service industry,a strategic emerging industry,as an example to explore the relationship between government subsidies and innovation performance under the condition of R&D input as an intermediary. This thesis takes 274 listed companies in the high-tech service industry listed on Shanghai and Shenzhen A shares as research samples, discusses the role of government subsidies on corporate innovation activities, and analyzes the mediating role of R&D investment in government subsidies and innovation activities. The empirical research results show that government subsidies can promote the innovation performance of hightech service enterprises, and R&D investment plays an intermediary role. After analysis,it is found that government subsidies have a significant effect on improving the innovation performance of high-tech service enterprises in the eastern region, while the effect of improving the innovation performance of high-tech service enterprises in the central and western regions is slightly inferior. The improvement of performance is immediate, but it has no obvious effect on state-owned enterprises dominated by state-owned capital;government subsidies improve the innovation performance of large-scale high-tech service enterprises to a higher degree than small-scale high-tech service enterprises. After the empirical analysis, this thesis takes i Flytek as a case to analyze in detail the impact of government subsidies on the company’s R&D investment, innovation performance and business performance. The final section of the thesis summarizes and analyzes the findings of the empirical and case studies, and makes appropriate recommendations. As far as the government is concerned, the government should continue to implement the government subsidy policy, but it should be targeted to a certain extent, and different supervision strategies should be formulated for enterprises in different stages. For the enterprise side,it is necessary to make good use of the government subsidy policy, and at the same time actively explore cooperation with the government, universities and other institutions to enhance the innovation ability of the enterprise.
