| The manufacturers directly reflect the development level of a country and plays an important main role in the process of enhancing the growth of the national economy. In the context of the digital economy, digital transformation has become an important way for manufacturers to gain competitive advantages and form differentiation. It is an important path for current manufacturing enterprises to achieve innovation performance, and has received extensive attention from the industry and scholars. In the manufacturers, small and medium manufacturers have made important contributions to our country’s economic vitality in terms of quantity and value.Different from large enterprises, small and medium manufacturers face special challenges. They have fewer choices in terms of resources, capabilities, and markets, and their risk tolerance in digital transformation is relatively weak.In the fiercely competitive and dynamic digital economy and global environment, promoting innovation is the key to many small and medium-sized manufacturers to solve their survival problems. Therefore, how to use digital transformation to break through the existing difficulties of the organization to improve innovation performance is a key issue to be solved urgently for small and medium-sized manufacturers.Related theoretical research is urgent and necessary.First of all,the thesis clearly defines the constructs involved in the research by summarizing literature, and briefly explains and fully introduce and analyze the theoretical basis supporting research, dynamic capability theory and organization configuration theorySecondly, based on the theory of dynamic capabilities and related theoretical foundations, dynamic capabilities are divided into sensing capabilities, learning capabilities, integrating capabilities, and coordinating capabilities.Organizational readiness is introduced as a moderating variable, and research hypotheses are proposed by clarifying the influence relationship between the variables.,Constructed a theoretical model of the impact of digital transformation of small and medium-sized manufacturers on innovation performance, with a view to exploring the impact mechanism.Using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation(PLS-SME)to conduct empirical tests on 241 small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises, the results show that:(1)Digital transformation has a significant positive impact on innovation performance;(2)Sensing Capability,Learning Capability and Integrating Capability has an intermediary effect in the influence of digital transformation on innovation performance, while Coordinating Capability does not;The positive impact on the innovation performance of small and medium manufacturing enterprises is more significant.Thirdly, based on the theory of organizational structure, the paper uses the fuzzy set comparison analysis based on the set relationship to calibrate the fuzzy set of the questionnaire data of 241 cases. After constructing the truth table and standard analysis procedures, the paper identifies the high innovation performance of small and mediumsized manufacturers. The resulting configuration of antecedents, exploring the complex causal mechanism of antecedent conditions including digital transformation for innovation performance from a configuration perspective. And then comparing the conclusion of structural equation model empirical test with the conclusion of fs QCA configuration analysis, and identifies the similarities and differences between the two results. Finally,The thesis provides countermeasures and suggestions for the digital transformation and innovation performance improvement of small and medium manufacturing enterprises from the perspective of national support, the perspective of enterprises themselves and the perspective of inter-firm collaboration, and provides references for the digital transformation and innovation performance of small and medium manufacturers and the digital transformation of our country’s industries. |
