Research On The Practice Of Consumer Rights Protection In China Since The Reform And Opening Up

Since the reform and opening up,the contribution of consumption to China’s social and economic development has become increasingly prominent,and consumption has become the most important driving force in the "troika" of economic growth,the Party’s 20th National Congress report stressed that it is necessary to "enhance the basic role of consumption in economic development." Protecting the rights and interests of consumers is an important part of ensuring market order.To stabilize consumption expectations and boost consumer confidence,we must not neglect the protection of consumer rights and interests.When the rights and interests of consumers are protected,people will dare to consume and be willing to consume,which will expand consumer demand,optimize the consumption structure,upgrade the industrial structure,and realize a good cycle of the national economy.China’s consumer rights and interests protection as a top-down by the Communist Party of China overall leadership of the emerging cause,although the late start but rapid development,through more than 40 years of consumer rights and interests protection system construction,China’s consumer rights and interests protection mechanism has been improved,effective expansion of consumer rights protection ways,consumer awareness has been significantly enhanced.This paper mainly starts from the historical development context of consumer rights and interests protection in China,and studies the practice of consumer rights and interests protection in legislation,judicial protection,administrative law enforcement protection,social protection and consumer self-protection since the reform and opening up.It is found that Chinese consumers have changed from no way to protect their rights to diversified ways of protecting their rights,the government’s working mode of protecting consumers’ rights has changed from sports to daily anti-counterfeiting,the focus of consumer rights protection has changed from material field to both material and spiritual field,and the consciousness of consumer rights protection has changed from never conscious to conscious.Under the great attention of the Communist Party of China and the government to the protection of consumer rights and interests,the cause of consumer rights and interests in China has achieved great results,which has significantly improved the awareness of producer responsibility.While passively constrained by the system,producers can also take the initiative to conduct self-regulatory activities to protect the rights and interests of consumers,and consumer satisfaction has also been continuously improved with the improvement of consumption supply,consumption environment and consumer rights protection.The role of final consumption in driving economic growth has increased.To study the practice of consumer rights protection is not simply to understand this history,but to understand the experience and inspiration formed in the cause of consumer rights protection in China.We must adhere to the Party’s leadership in the cause of consumer rights protection,establish and improve laws and regulations,strengthen constraints on producers,and raise consumers’ awareness of rights protection,so as to boost consumer confidence and release consumption potential under the new situation.Building a good domestic large circulation to provide reference.
