| With the rapid development of information and communication technology, enterprise innovation activities have broken the regional restrictions. It is particularly important for the innovation development of enterprises to integrate into the innovation ecosystem and realize benign interaction and cooperative symbiosis with other innovation subjects. Therefore, the strategic positioning of an organization needs to be changed from a single organizational perspective to an analysis within the scope of an innovation ecosystem. However, most of the existing researches on strategic positioning are based on the individual attributes of enterprises, and lack of systematic and network thinking to explore the strategic positioning of organizations in the innovation ecosystem. In addition, most of the existing research on innovation ecosystem is carried out from the perspective of macro environment or micro individual, and there is a lack of research from the meso perspective.Because innovation activities often occur more frequently within the innovation community in the innovation ecosystem,"innovation community" becomes an important perspective to study inter-organizational relations. This study explores the mechanism of organizational strategic positioning on innovation performance in the innovation ecosystem layer by layer from the meso perspective of innovation community.Firstly,a framework for analyzing organizational strategic positioning in the innovation ecosystem is proposed, and a large-scale empirical network is constructed by taking water conservancy industry as a representative case.Based on Louvain topology clustering, innovation community is identified and organizational strategic positioning in the innovation ecosystem is analyzed.Secondly,a conceptual model of the influence mechanism of organizational strategic positioning on innovation performance in the innovation ecosystem is constructed, and the research hypothesis of the effect of organizational status and ecological niche on innovation performance is proposed. Then, based on the above analysis and combined with multi-source heterogeneous panel data, empirical research is carried out to test and modify the conceptual model. Finally,it provides suggestions for enterprises to choose appropriate strategic positioning in the innovation ecosystem and promote innovation development. The main conclusions are as follows:the connectivity degree and niche breadth degree of organizational dynamics have a significant positive impact on innovation performance, while the dominance degree of organizational dynamics has a significant negative impact on innovation performance. The interaction term between organizational size and ecological state connectivity, and the interaction term between organizational size and ecological state dominance have a significant negative impact on innovation performance, while the interaction term between organizational size and ecological state dominance has a significant positive impact on innovation performance. From the perspective of innovation community, this study puts forward an analytical framework of organizational strategic positioning in innovation ecosystem, and integrates ecological concepts to enrich the connotation and extension of traditional strategic positioning, and provide accurate and scientific guidance and suggestions for the innovation development of enterprises. |
