Research On Industrial Digitization To Enhance Technical Complexity Of China’s Manufacturing Export

With the continuous advancement of globalization,the scale of the global market continues to expand,and the global industrial chain continues to deepen,which is followed by the fiercer competition in various industries.Manufacturing industry is an important embodiment of a country’s international competitiveness.As a verdant manufacturing power,China’s manufacturing export accounts for more than 90% of its commodity exports for a long time,which is an important source of foreign exchange income,laying a good foundation for China’s economic take-off in the past decades.However,in recent years,affected by factors such as the rise of anti-globalization and the COVID-19 pandemic,the global consumer market has weakened,the growth rate of the manufacturing industry has slowed down significantly,and the deep-seated problems restricting the development of China’s manufacturing industry have gradually been exposed.China’s manufacturing industry as a whole presents a state of large but not strong,manufacturing products overall low added value,low level of technology is particularly prominent problems,improve the technical complexity of manufacturing export,enhance the export competitiveness of China’s manufacturing industry has become urgent.With the advent of the era of digital economy,the strategic deployment of integrated development of digital economy and real economy was proposed in the "Top 20" report to accelerate the development of digital economy and promote the deep integration of digital economy and real economy.Digital reform has brought new opportunities for the manufacturing industry to carry out industrial transformation and achieve high-quality development.Firstly,this paper reviews relevant literature on digital economy and export technology complexity,clarifies relevant concepts,and determines the theoretical basis of the research.Then,the development level of China’s digital economy and the complexity of export technology are measured and analyzed.10 years of data from 30 provincial administrative regions(excluding Hong Kong,Macao,Taiwan and Xizang)from 2012 to 2022 are selected to construct digital economy as the core variable and manufacturing export technology complexity as the explained variable.Foreign direct investment,regional logistics scale,human capital level and transportation infrastructure level are the control variables of the regression model.At the same time,the level of producer services,regional openness and innovative research and development ability are introduced as the intermediary variables to test the intermediary effect,and the characteristics of China’s digital economy and manufacturing export development are summarized.Identify weaknesses in manufacturing development and provide a basis for subsequent policy recommendations.Then,based on the previous review of existing studies,the influence mechanism of digital economy on the technical complexity of manufacturing export is analyzed.Then the empirical analysis is carried out by industry and region to verify the correlation between the digital economy and the technical complexity of manufacturing export.Finally,based on the empirical results,relevant countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to improve the technical complexity of manufacturing export.The research results show that during the decade from 2012 to 2021,the development level of China’s digital economy has been gradually improved,and the technical complexity of manufacturing export has also been continuously improved,which presents the following characteristics: First,the overall development level of China’s digital economy shows a trend of increasing year by year,and the digital economy level and growth rate of eastern,central and western regions are different.Secondly,in terms of the technological complexity of China’s manufacturing export,the overall technological complexity of China’s manufacturing export shows an increasing trend year by year as well as the industrial digitization level,but the gap between different regions and different industries is obvious.Third,the digital economy has a strong promoting effect on the improvement of the technical complexity of manufacturing export,but its effect on different regions and different industries is quite different,so different regions and different industries need to apply different countermeasures.
