The sudden outbreak of COVID-19 in early 2020 has brought untold impact and shock to China and whole world.Organizational resilience is an essential characteristic for enterprises to cope with crises and adverse events.Whether an enterprise can form organizational resilience and continue to improve and transform becomes the key point for the survival and even future development of enterprises.As a venue provider for major events and exhibition activities,LBD Company is close to bankruptcy due to the impact of COVID-19,which has led to the elimination of all business of LBD company.Faced to the huge impact of COVID-19,LBD company completed a series of resource reconstruction and self-improvement,and finally realized the perfect transformation from the state of near shutdown to the breakthrough against the trend,showing strong organizational resilience.This paper takes the development of LBD company under the background of COVID-19 as the case study object.The case analysis takes the time axis as the main line,describes and classifies 20 response measures and actions of the organization in each stage according to the three stages of epidemic exposure period,epidemic outbreak period and epidemic normalization,and extracts six major factors which has a significant impact for organizational resilience,including crisis positive sensing ability,crisis leadership,rapid decision-making ability,resource reconfiguration.kinetic energy transformation and self-learning.At the same time,the six factors were integrated and sublimated,and the mechanism of Organizational Resilience in"epidemic exposure period-active response,epidemic outbreak period-rapid reconstruction,and timely breakthrough in the normalization of epidemic situation"was explored.By studying the response measures and development process of the case enterprise in the face of major crisis impact,this paper extracts the view that organizational resilience is a dynamic process.That is,when crisis occurs,the organization not only makes strategic adjustment by using existing resources and capabilities,makes active response and develops specific measures to cope with challenges.All opportunities and new resources should also be sought to turn disadvantages into learning and innovation opportunities for self-rebound and breakthrough.
