| Petrochemical industry refers to the industry that uses oil and natural gas as upstream production raw materials to produce,process and sell petrochemical products.The products of this industry involve all fields of the national economy and people’s life,and are the pillar industries that promote China’s economic development.With the passage of time,under the background of low international oil prices and the spread of global COVID-19,the petrochemical industry has gradually become an obstacle to its development due to its high risks,high production costs and high capital intensity.In recent years,with the continuous development of digitalization and Internet technology,the mature application of 5g,Internet cloud platform,big data,artificial intelligence and other technologies has provided new ways for more and more traditional industries to solve existing problems,and also brought transformation opportunities to the petrochemical industry.Compared with other industries in China,the overall digital transformation of the petrochemical industry started late,and there is less research on the digital transformation of the petrochemical industry.Therefore,this study focuses on the digital transformation cases of three major state-owned enterprises,namely,CNPC,Sinopec and CNOOC(hereinafter referred to as "three barrels of oil"),to study the motivation and path of digital transformation of key enterprises in China’s petrochemical industry.Firstly,this paper uses the literature induction method to sort out the motivation,path and research results of digital transformation of petrochemical enterprises.Secondly,it clarifies the research concept,research background and selection criteria of research cases.Thirdly,the strategic analysis tool PEST analysis method is used to explore the macro environment of its transformation.Combined with the selected cases,the digital transformation process of different enterprises is analyzed from the transformation overview,value model,motivation,path and effect.Finally,the paper concludes that the motivation of digital transformation of key enterprises in China’s petrochemical industry is similar;The key enterprises in China’s petrochemical industry formulate transformation paths according to their own operating characteristics;Problems in infrastructure construction of petrochemical industry;Digital transformation is the only way for the sustainable development of traditional petrochemical enterprises.According to the conclusion,the following policy suggestions are put forward:clarify the motivation of digital transformation,develop the advantages and avoid the disadvantages,and formulate the path of digital transformation;Accelerate the infrastructure construction of the digital transformation of the petrochemical industry and improve the digital level of the industry.The innovation of this paper is that it uses strategic analysis tools to explore the macro environment of the digital transformation of petrochemical enterprises,enumerates four representative digital transformation cases of key petrochemical enterprises of different types,presents the status quo of the digital transformation of key petrochemical enterprises in China’s petrochemical industry in detail,In order to provide reference for more petrochemical enterprises. |
