Research On The Development Potential Of Cargo Transportation Insurance In Guangdong Province

In recent years,the rapid development of economy and trade in Guangdong Province has produced a great demand for cargo transportation and cargo transportation insurance.The development level of Guangdong’s economy and freight transportation infrastructure has been among the top in China for a long time.There is a great demand for freight insurance.However,the development of freight insurance is not satisfactory.Therefore,the importance of studying the development potential of freight transportation insurance in Guangdong Province for the expansion of freight transportation insurance business is self-evident.Through reading a large number of literatures,it is found that most of the researches of Chinese scholars focus on the relationship between the factors affecting the development of cargo transportation insurance and the economic growth of the logistics industry,but there are few researches on its development potential,and there is no empirical research based on the relevant data of Guangdong Province in the past literature studies.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the development potential of cargo transportation insurance of Guangdong Province.First of all,it is helpful to improve the freight insurance development system of Guangdong Province,and promote the cargo transportation insurance of Guangdong Province to keep up with the development speed of the freight industry,so as to make contributions to the overall economic development of Guangdong Province.Secondly,it can provide targeted suggestions for the development of cargo transportation insurance in various cities in Guangdong Province and promote its healthy development.Finally,it can provide practical experience for other provinces and the whole country to promote economic development of freight insurance.Based on the definition of the development potential of cargo transportation insurance and the research of related theories,this paper analyzes the overall situation of the development of cargo transportation insurance in Guangdong Province and the spatial differentiation of different cities,and then uses the entropy weight TOPSIS method to get the main factors affecting the development of cargo transportation insurance in Guangdong Province and the ranking of the comprehensive potential of the development of cargo transportation insurance in different cities.Based on this,cluster analysis is used to classify the development potential of cargo transportation insurance in various cities in Guangdong Province.Finally,grey relational degree is used to analyze the factors affecting the development of cargo transportation insurance in five regions,so as to explore the countermeasures for the development of cargo transportation insurance in Guangdong Province and other cities and promote its rapid development.The innovation of this paper is mainly based on the following aspect.Most scholars study freight insurance from the national level,this paper from the perspective of Guangdong Province and its local cities,more detailed differentiation.Through empirical research,this paper draws the following conclusions: first,cargo turnover,cargo transportation insurance claims payout,cargo transportation insurance premium income,total import and export have a great impact on the development potential of cargo transportation insurance in Guangdong Province.Second,from 2011 to 2020,the development potential of cargo transportation insurance in Guangdong Province declined instead of increasing,and the development of cargo transportation insurance was not satisfactory.Third,Guangzhou,Shenzhen,Foshan,Dongguan,Huizhou and Zhanjiang have great development potential of cargo transportation insurance,while Shanwei,Chaozhou and Jieyang have little development potential.The development gap between different cities in the province is large,and the regional development is extremely unbalanced.Fourth,the factors affecting the development potential of the five types of regional freight insurance mainly focus on five indicators: insurance depth,insurance density,premium income,highway transportation distance and average total profit of industrial enterprises above designated size.In this paper,the problems,influencing factors and development potential of cargo transportation insurance in Guangdong Province and the factors affecting the differences in the development of regional freight insurance are put forward relevant development suggestions,such as: to promote the development of road transportation in Guangzhou and Foshan,and to promote the development of industrial enterprises in Guangzhou and Shenzhen.The density,depth and premium income of cargo transportation insurance in the five regions of Guangdong Province all have a great impact on the development potential of cargo transportation insurance.Therefore,Guangdong province should strengthen the communication between insurance companies and industrial enterprises,pay attention to the product innovation of cargo transportation insurance,and pay attention to the training of cargo transportation insurance professionals.Finally,it will promote the healthy development of cargo transportation insurance in Guangdong Province and its regions and escort the economic development.
