| The advancement of industry and technology has undoubtedly brought progress to human civilization. However, the accompanying issues of pollution and resource waste have caused irreversible damage to the natural environment in the short term. These problems are urgent for China to solve on its path towards high-quality development. As an essential player in economic activities, enterprises have a responsibility to produce material wealth while also taking into account the environmental impact of their operations.Prioritizing energy conservation and emission reduction in the production process carries significant significance in improving the environment, serving as a testament to an enterprise’s active fulfillment of social responsibility.Employees form a fundamental part of a company and play a crucial role in implementing any macro strategies. Therefore, for an enterprise to successfully implement its environmental strategy and seek legitimacy in a sustainable development society,it cannot overlook the support of its employees towards the organizational strategy in their daily work. This study employs social exchange theory and matching theory to explore the mechanism of how employees’ perception of corporate social responsibility affects their green behavior in the workplace, providing significant theoretical value and practical significance in understanding the motivations behind green behavior and how to promote it.Building on the review of relevant literature on corporate social responsibility, the perception of corporate social responsibility, organizational identity, employee green behavior, and personal environmental values, this study constructs a research model with the perception of corporate social responsibility as the independent variable, employee green behavior as the dependent variable, organizational identity as the mediator, and personal environmental values as the moderator. This research uses a questionnaire survey method, with MBA students and their colleagues as samples, and analyzes 370 questionnaire data using SPSS and Mplus software. The following conclusions were drawn from the analysis: firstly, the perception of corporate social responsibility positively impacts employee task-related and voluntary green behavior;secondly, organizational identity partially mediates the relationship between the perception of corporate social responsibility and task-related and voluntary green behavior;thirdly,self-centered environmental values negatively moderate the relationship between the perception of corporate social responsibility and task-related and voluntary green behavior;fourthly, social altruistic values positively moderate the relationship between the perception of corporate social responsibility and task-related and voluntary green behavior;fifthly, ecological values do not moderate the relationship between the perception of corporate social responsibility and taskrelated and voluntary green behavior. In summary, the findings of this study enrich the micro-level research of corporate social responsibility and further explore the driving mechanisms of employee green behavior. It also provides some reference value for the practical implementation of enterprise human resource management and environmental strategy. |
