| The motorcycle manufacturing industry has been facing increasingly fierce global competition.The competitiveness of brands in the market is determined by the quality of the motorcycles,and the quality of purchased parts directly affects the quality of the motorcycles to a large extent.Therefore,the quality and competitiveness of the motorcycles are so directly affected by levels of brands’ management of their parts suppliers.Supplier management includes many practical activities,supplier performance evaluation is one of the most critical ones.Accurate and effective supplier performance evaluation is the core element that determines the supplier management capabilities of an enterprise,but the premise of accurate evaluation of suppliers is to design a performance evaluation program suitable for the company’s long-term development,so as to ensure the quality,cost and delivery speed of the purchased parts and other comparative advantages,but also to establish a win-win relationship with suppliers.This paper tried to explore how to optimize the performance evaluation of Fuying’s metal parts suppliers,based on theories of supplier management and supplier evaluation.First of all,the status quo of performance evaluation of Fuying’s metal parts suppliers was explored,which was followed by a questionnaire survey to find out what the problems are with the performance evaluation.And the reason caused these problems were figured out by expert interview guided by the brainstorm method.Secondly,the optimization scheme was designed to improve the performance evaluation of metal parts suppliers.The optimization scheme started with specifying the structure and duty of the supplier performance evaluation team.Then on the basis of ABC classification and Kraljic model,the suppliers were classified,based on which the differentiated evaluation cycle was suggested to implement supplier performance evaluation.After that,the performance evaluation index system is rebuilt,and the weight of the evaluation system is designed using the AHP,which helped to formulate the supplier performance scoring rules.About the post evaluation management,it’s suggested to take a good look at how to improve the application of the performance evaluation results.Finally,the plan and focus of the implementation,and corresponding safeguard measures of the supplier performance evaluation optimization scheme are described in detail.The conclusion of the paper shows that the optimization of the performance evaluation scheme of Fuying’s metal parts suppliers can not only enable the company to evaluate the supplier’s performance more scientifically and normatively but also can improve the company’s supplier management ability,reduce the company’s procurement cost,improve the quality and shorten the delivery lead time of purchased parts.These ultimately help to establish a good relationship with the suppliers and improve the competitiveness of the enterprise. |
