With the disappearance of China’s demographic dividend,the increase of international trade friction,the increase of enterprise factor costs and other problems,the living environment of Chinese enterprises in domestic and foreign markets has become increasingly difficult.Especially since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in 2020,the living environment of Chinese enterprises has been difficult,and more enterprises are facing survival crisis.Enterprise risks have significantly increased.The products of industrial enterprises play an indelible role in China’s economic development.In 2021,the total industrial added value accounts for 39.43% of the national GDP.At the same time,China,as the first "world factory" to resume production and export after the COVID-19 epidemic,how to give full play to its own advantages and maintain the stable development of product export is of great significance to the stable operation of China’s foreign trade and the overall domestic economy.The duration of a product is the duration of a trade relationship,which refers to the time from entering a market to exiting the market(there is no interval between)for a certain product or enterprise produced by an enterprise(trade relationship refers to the state of a product or enterprise entering a foreign market until exiting the market).In terms of product survival,most of the previous studies used KM survival analysis method and Cox proportional risk regression model to measure product survival time,and few articles on the differences between export and non-export enterprises.This paper takes the difference between the duration of export and non-export products as the starting point to study the source of the difference,and innovatively applies the Oaxaca-blinder decomposition method in labor economics to the problem of product duration,and extends the research perspective from the measurement of product duration to the comparison of duration difference between export and non-export enterprises.The empirical research method of this paper is as follows: firstly,the survival time of the products of export and non-export enterprises is estimated by KM survival analysis method,and the survival curve of the duration of the products of export and non-export enterprises is estimated.Then,the differences are decomposed by Oaxaca decomposition method,and the factors that lead to the differences are studied.This paper mainly uses the data of industrial enterprise database from 1998 to 2009,and describes the rules and characteristics of the duration of products of export and non-export enterprises.Oaxaca decomposition method is used to study what factors lead to the difference in the duration of their products.Through analysis,we find that the duration of the products of exporting enterprises is 0.5424 years longer than that of non-exporting enterprises,and factor endowment,factor reward and the interaction between factor endowment and reward all significantly widen the duration gap between the products of exporting enterprises and non-exporting enterprises.After that,the robustness of the above empirical conclusions was tested by expanding the data samples.The direction of coefficient and significance level were basically consistent with the results of the original samples.The survival time of the products of export enterprises was about0.5424 years longer than that of the products of non-export enterprises,which was basically consistent with the results of the original samples,verifying the stability of the empirical results of the main regression.Finally,according to the empirical results of this paper,relevant policy suggestions are put forward,hoping to provide some guidance and reference ideas for the sustainable development of Chinese industrial enterprises.
