With the advent of a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial revolution,the rapid development of information technology represented by the Internet,big data,artificial intelligence,etc.,has promoted the vigorous development of the digital economy,combined with many fields of social life,and has become an important driving force for economic growth.In addition,the export scale of high-tech industries is also expanding rapidly,which is an important link in the field of foreign trade in China,and the improvement of the technical complexity of high-tech industry exports is an important support for the high-quality development of China’s economy and an important link in the growth quality of manufacturing industry.In the context of the reindustrialization strategy of developed countries and the two-way squeeze of China’s manufacturing industry caused by the labor cost advantage of Southeast Asian countries,strengthening the export technology content of China’s high-tech industries and improving the technical complexity of high-tech industry exports is an inevitable requirement for the high-quality development of China’s economy,and it is also the only way for China’s manufacturing industry to become stronger from large to strong,and the digital economy,as a new economic development mode,can give new momentum to the improvement of the export quality of high-tech industries.Based on this,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the digital economy on the improvement of the technical complexity of high-tech industry exports.The paper is divided into five parts,the first part is an introduction,which mainly introduces the research background and significance of this paper,the basic ideas and methods of research,innovation points and shortcomings,and literature review.The second part is the theoretical analysis of the export technology complexity of high-tech industries by the digital economy,firstly introduces the theoretical basis of the digital economy on the export technology complexity of high-tech industries,including the theory of comparative advantage,the theory of new economic growth,and the theory of latecomer advantage,and secondly expounds the influence mechanism of the digital economy to promote the improvement of the technical complexity of high-tech industry exports through technological innovation effect,cost saving effect and human capital improvement effect.The third part is the development status and measurement of China’s digital economy and high-tech industry,analyzes the development status of digital economy and high-tech industry,uses the entropy method to quantitatively evaluate the development level of digital economy,and measures the technical complexity of high-tech industry exports.The fourth part is empirical analysis,which empirically analyzes the impact of the digital economy on the export technology complexity of high-tech industries using data from 2006 to 2020.The regression results show that the development of digital economy has a significant role in promoting the improvement of the export technology complexity of high-tech industries,and the development level of digital economy in different regions has different impacts on the improvement of export technology complexity of high-tech industries,and the eastern and western regions have a more significant positive impact.The results of the regression of different industries show that the digital economy has different impacts on the export technology complexity of different high-tech industries,and the impact of digital economy on the export technology complexity of pharmaceutical manufacturing,electronic computer and public equipment manufacturing,medical equipment and public manufacturing is significantly increased,but the impact on the export technology complexity of aerospace manufacturing is not significant.The fifth part is the conclusion and policy recommendations,according to the theoretical and empirical results above,in order to better promote the improvement of the export technology content of China’s high-tech industries,the following policy suggestions are put forward from the development of the digital economy: first,improve the level of digital economy development;The second is to improve the level of innovation and pay attention to the cultivation of digital talents;The third is to promote the balanced development of the digital economy region.Fourth,different industries implement differentiated digital economy development strategies.
