| Chongqing is the only municipality under the jurisdiction of the central government in China’s central and western regions.As the first city of launching the China-EU train(Chongqing-Sinkiang-Europe International Railway),Chongqing has been stated as an international comprehensive transportation hub and international gateway hub in the master plan for the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle,because it has unique location and the multi-modal transport logistics system composed of highways,railways,waterways,and air routes.CLC International Logistics Hub Park,established in2007,is an inland international bonded logistics industrial park based on Chongqing railway port.It is not only the origin station of China-EU train(Chongqing)and new western land-sea corridor,but also the pioneer of similar inland industrial parks.Under the influence of the Belt and Road initiative and the imbalanced regional development,being an important logistics and transportation road connecting Asia and Europe for promoting economic development inland,the China-Europe train and new western land-sea corridor has gotten more attention.Especially under the circumstances that the global supply chain disruption due to the huge impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the global shipping and maritime industry has caused great losses to the global economy,the cross-border railway has demonstrated uniqueness and importance by playing a major role in stabilizing the supply chain and transportation of anti-epidemic materials.Many provinces have successively established international dry port logistics industrial parks based on the cross-border railway trains.Therefore,the competition of CLC international logistics hub park become more and more intense.At the same time,its development environment has also been changed significantly.In this context,combined with the internal and external environment of CLC international Logistics Hub Park and its own advantages,this thesis mainly studies its development strategy.Firstly,this thesis adopts the literature research method and PEST model to analyze the external macro environment and the development trend of CLC international logistics hub park.Secondly,this thesis analyzes the industrial competitive environment and main existent competitors through using the method of case analysis and Porter’s five forces model,and analyzes the key success factors from the perspectives of hub and park.Then,this thesis selects the overall situation of the park obtained by the field survey method,and analyzes the internal strengths and weaknesses as well as external opportunities and threats through the SWOT strategic analysis tool.Finally,the overall strategic choice of the park is determined through the basic structure of the strategic type.The research shows that CLC international logistics hub park should pursue diversification of development direction based on the differentiation and adopt prudent expansion strategy to speed up the development and construction of the city.We should choose the Alliance(cooperation)strategy to develop the advantages of multi-modal transport hub through cooperating with local port of water road and air,and develop in coordination with the surrounding Liangjiang New Area and Western(Chongqing)Science City.Finally,the development vision of "serving as an international hub of the global supply chain,a gateway to showcase the achievements of inland opening-up,and a modern new city with integrated development of industry and landscape" will be realized. |
