| The development of manufacturing industry is the premise of China’s industrial transformation,as a manufacturing country,China’s manufacturing technology level is still relatively backward,in the status quo of overcapacity,large but not strong,and there are serious problems such as serious production pollution and prominent laborintensive characteristics.At present,the development of the digital economy is gaining momentum,and digital trade,as a new state after the digital upgrading of traditional trade,has become a new driving force for promoting the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry under the background of the new development pattern,which plays an important role in the reconstruction of the industrial structure of the manufacturing industry.Measuring the development level of digital trade and studying the impact of digital trade on the high-quality development of manufacturing industry are of great significance to recognize the current development status of digital trade and promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.Based on the combing of relevant literature,this paper analyzes the mechanism of digital trade for the high-quality development of manufacturing industry from four aspects: economic benefits,green development level,innovation level and social benefits.Combined with the development trend of digital trade,establish a comprehensive evaluation index system for digital trade from seven aspects: Internet infrastructure,logistics environment,digital technology level,industrial digital trade,industrial digital trade scale,digital industrialization trade scale,and trade potential.Establish a comprehensive evaluation index system for the high-quality development of manufacturing industry from four aspects: economic benefits,green development level,innovation drive and social benefits.Then,the relevant data of 30 provinces(municipalities and regions)from 2012 to 2020 were selected as samples,the development level of digital trade was taken as the explanatory variable,the highquality development level of manufacturing industry was taken as the explanatory variable,and R&D intensity and foreign direct investment were selected as the control variables,and the impact of digital trade on the high-quality development of manufacturing industry was explored through empirical analysis.Finally,through empirical analysis,the following conclusions are obtained: there are large regional differences in the development level of digital trade in China,with the highest level of digital trade development in the eastern region of China,followed by the central and western regions.From 2012 to 2020,the high-quality development level of manufacturing in the eastern,central and western regions of China has shown a trend of increasing year by year,but the regional differences are obvious.Compared with the central and western regions of China,the eastern region has the highest level of highquality development of the manufacturing industry;From the return results,China’s digital trade has a significant role in promoting the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry,indicating that the digital economy can promote the highquality development of the manufacturing industry.For every unit of digital trade,the high-quality development of manufacturing industry will increase by 1.846%,and after adding control variables in turn,the impact of digital trade on the high-quality development of manufacturing industry is still significantly positive.On this basis,this paper proposes that the development of the manufacturing industry can break through difficulties,seize opportunities and achieve high-quality development by accelerating the development of digital trade,improving new infrastructure,adopting differentiated development strategies,and increasing scientific and technological innovation. |
