High-tech small and medium-sized enterprises(High-tech SMEs)have high technology content,strong innovation ability and intensive scientific and technological personnel.They are innovation subjects with great vitality and potential,and an important force to strengthen the dominant position of enterprises in innovation.In recent years,with the booming development of digital industry and network technology,a large number of technology-based smes have been emerging.According to relevant statistics,from 2017 to 2021,the number of technology-based smes in China increased from less than 30,000 to 328,000,with an average annual growth of 250%.At the same time,the survival and development of small and medium-sized enterprises in science and technology can not be ignored.According to the survey,the average life of smes in science and technology is only 2.9 years,about 93 percent of them survive in the market for less than 5 years,and 98 percent of them survive in the market for less than 10 years.Company A was founded in 2018,belongs to the communication and information technology industry,has the typical characteristics of high-tech SMEs.The business scope includes computer hardware,electronic products,integrated circuit design,research and development,sales,etc.In the second year after its establishment,Company A was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.In addition to its weak market influence and revenue capacity of start-ups,the initial revenue of the main business only accounted for about 10%,and the gross profit rate of the overall project was less than10%.In order to help SMEs tide over difficulties,the state and local governments have introduced a series of rescue policies.At the same time,when China was vigorously developing the digital economy,Company A seized the opportunity,actively invested in big data,cloud computing,the Internet of Things and other related fields,and achieved the annual break-even in the second year,the total break-even in the third year.At present,the product structure,personnel structure and management system of Company A are not perfect,and the marketing ability is weak.With the development and expansion of the company,the pressure of R&D investment will also follow.Based on the analysis of the overall development situation and general characteristics of high-tech SMEs,this paper uses relevant theoretical analysis tools to conduct a practical case study of Company A,so as to find a path of sustainable development based on the market.Firstly,based on the analysis of research status at home and abroad,the relevant theoretical basis is sorted out,and the definition,characteristics,development trend of high-tech SMEs.Secondly,by using analysis tools such as PESTL and Porter’s Five Forces model,analyz the internal and external environment of Company A.Then,use SWOT analysis to list the opportunities,threats,strengths,weaknesses that reflected of company A,three alternative development strategies are matched.Finally,three alternative development strategies are analyzed and judged through the QSPM matrix,and the diversification development strategy is finally selected.In order to ensure the smooth landing and effective implementation of the strategy of Company A,this paper expounds the strategic safeguard measures from the aspects of optimizing the organizational structure,increasing personnel training,improving the level of technology research and development,and carries out supervision and assessment in the various stages of strategy launching,planning,implementation and adjustment,so as to ensure the effective and orderly promotion of the strategy,and promote the smooth growth,steady and long-term development of Company A.
