In the current financial environment,the formulation and implementation of risk control have a crucial impact on the stability and sustainability of financial institutions.This is particularly pronounced for consumer finance companies due to their business characteristics and customer groups.Hence,this study chose Z Consumer Finance Corporation,a representative industry entity,to understand and analyze the company’s risk control practices and challenges deeply.This paper first reviews domestic and international theoretical research and practical experiences related to risk control in consumer finance companies,and sorts out various types of risks such as credit risk,market risk,operational risk,and their influencing factors.Through an in-depth analysis of the attributes of products in consumer finance companies and the risk control process,the current situation and challenges faced by Z Consumer Finance Corporation in risk control are revealed.To address these issues,this paper employs research methods that integrate interviews,questionnaires,and empirical analysis.By deeply analyzing the root causes of the problems,the causality of the problems was successfully dissected.The study found that the main causes of risk control problems at Z Consumer Finance Corporation include an imperfect user evaluation system,lack of enforcement of risk control supervision and evaluation,lack of a professional risk management team,and outdated data risk control model technology.In response to these problems,this paper proposes corresponding optimization strategies,such as establishing a multi-dimensional customer data evaluation framework,strengthening the supervision of risk control management,enhancing the skills of risk control personnel,and iterating the data risk control model engine.The results of this study bring values and insights in multiple aspects.First,the implementation of optimization strategies and safeguarding measures is expected to help Z Consumer Finance Corporation solve existing risk control problems,enhance its risk management capabilities,and thereby strengthen the company’s market competitiveness.Second,the results of this research can provide references for the prevention and resolution of risk issues in the same industry,promoting the healthy development of the consumer finance industry.Finally,this paper emphasizes that risk control methods should be flexible enough to quickly adjust and respond when new risk factors emerge.This provides important insights for consumer finance companies to formulate and implement effective risk control in a constantly changing market environment and technical challenges.
