| As a national top-level cooperation initiative,the the Belt and Road Initiative(hereinafter referred to as the "Initiative")relies on the existing bilateral and multilateral mechanisms between China and relevant countries,with the help of existing and effective regional cooperation platforms,aims to borrow the historical symbols of the ancient Silk Road,hold high the banner of peaceful development,actively develop economic cooperation partnerships with countries along the line,and jointly build political mutual trust,economic integration.A culturally inclusive community of interests,destiny and responsibility.As of May 2022,the "Initiative" has 65 member countries in total,and the cumulative trade volume between China and member countries has exceeded US $2 trillion.With the continuous development of global social economy,sustainable development has become an important issue.In2015,the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,setting 17 sustainable development goals and 169 specific goals,aiming at calling on all countries to mobilize their forces to eliminate all forms of poverty and inequality and ensure sustainable economic growth.At present,the world is experiencing great changes that have not occurred in a century.It is of certain research significance and value to study the impact mechanism,promotion role and extent of the "Initiative" on the sustainable development of member countries.This paper is mainly divided into three parts.The first part introduces the background,literature review and current situation.The second part includes model design,combined with model and empirical analysis.In the part of model construction and empirical analysis,based on the panel data of 64 member countries of the Initiative except China from 2008 to 2018,this paper uses the double differential DID model to systematically analyze and study the impact of the Initiative on the sustainable development of member countries.The third part includes conclusions,policy recommendations and prospects.This study shows that the "Initiative" can significantly promote the sustainable development level of member countries;After the heterogeneity analysis,it is found that the sustainable development level of the less developed countries in the "Initiative" member countries still has a significant role in promoting the sustainable development level of the developed countries,but it is not significant for the developed countries,and it has the most obvious role in promoting the members with more trade exchanges with China.Finally,this paper,combined with the results of the study,puts forward policy recommendations to the "Initiative" member countries and China respectively.The research results of this paper provide certain reference value and significance for global economic recovery,promoting economic globalization,and strengthening exchanges and cooperation between countries. |
