Research On The Impact Of Green Technology Innovation On Manufacturing Upgrading

The economy of China has developed rapidly compared to the days before reform and opening-up.However,we should clearly recognize that the price of which is the deterioration of the environment.In the context of "dual carbon",we should promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry through innovation,as well as complete the goal of transforming into a manufacturing power.Since the green technology innovation has both economic and ecological benefits,we should use it to achieve the upgrading of manufacturing and environmental protection.This paper is mainly to find out the relationship between green technology innovation.and the manufacturing upgrade.The research direction has been put forward and the measurement method of the indicators has been determined on the basis of sorting out the literature.After clarifying the impact mechanism of green technology innovation on manufacturing upgrading,this paper uses the data of 30 provinces of China from 2009 to 2019 to conduct an empirical study.And we have got two conclusions.First of all,compared to traditional technological innovation green technological innovation must be based on greenness.So green technological innovation has both a promoting effect and a restraining effect on the upgrading of the manufacturing.Green technology innovation may promote it through the innovation compensation effect and green environmental protection effect.But at the same time,it may also be detrimental to the upgrading of the manufacturing industry through the crowding effect and R&D risk effect.Based on the above analysis we found that the impact of green technology innovation on manufacturing upgrading is non-linear.Secondly,the relationship between green technology innovation and reasonableness and advanced poison of manufacturing upgrade is roughly U-shaped.That is to say,the impact of the green technology innovation will first inhibits the upgrading of manufacturing industry and then promotes.Only when the level of green technology innovation reaches a certain level,that is,after crossing the inflection point,will the improvement of the level of green technology innovation promote the upgrading of the manufacturing industry.At present,most areas in my country have crossed the inflection point.But there is a certain heterogeneity in the value of this inflection point.From the perspective of different regions,the inflection point in the eastern region is higher than that in the other regions.From the perspective of different intellectual property protection strengths,the greater the protection of intellectual property rights the smaller the inflection point value and the earlier the promotion of green technology innovation to the upgrading of the manufacturing industry will be realized.From the perspective of different levels of environmental regulation,the inflection point of the impact of green technology innovation on manufacturing upgrades is lower when the level of environmental regulation is higher.Finally,this paper puts forward some suggestions for the above conclusions.
