Research On The Establishment Of State-level New Areas And The Structural Change Of Regional Manufacturing Industry

Industrialization is the only way for a country or a region to develop its economy.The level of industrialization is mainly reflected in the level of its manufacturing industry,especially in the rationalization and advanced level of manufacturing industry structure.The rationalization and advanced level of manufacturing industry is an important factor affecting the economic growth and competitiveness of a country or a region.Since the 2008 economic crisis,China's manufacturing restructuring and opening up are facing new opportunities and challenges.The State Council has successively approved the establishment of a number of new state-level new areas to undertake major national development and reform and opening-up strategic tasks.As a regional growth pole,state-level new areas have been entrusted with the responsibility and expectation of optimizing regional manufacturing structure.How to give full play to the institutional mechanism and policy advantages of state-level new areas in different regions and promote the optimization of manufacturing industry structure needs not only careful summary and analysis in theory,but also an important problem to be solved urgently for local governments and state-level new areas.Firstly,this paper summarizes the relevant theories and research literature of growth pole,regional coordination and industrial restructuring,as well as the history of the formation of regional growth pole and the development process of manufacturing industry.Secondly,the mechanism of the influence of the state-level new areas on the regional manufacturing industry structure is analyzed theoretically and practically,and the basic situation and existing problems of the regional manufacturing industry structure evolution since the establishment of the state-level new areas in China are analyzed comprehensively.On this basis,through theconstruction of panel data of 30 provinces from 2011 to 2016 and the application of dual fixed effect model,this paper makes a comprehensive and objective analysis of the impact of the establishment of state-level new areas on the rationalization and upgrading of regional manufacturing structure,with a view to providing useful reference for further academic research and optimization of manufacturing structure in state-level new areas.
