| On January 1st,2022,the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement(RCEP)came into force. After the entry into force of RCEP,the preferential policies will further promote the trade exchanges, investment activities, logistics chain and industrial chain cooperation between China and other member countries.Due to the differences in culture, geographical conditions, technology, government policies and other aspects, the level of logistics cooperation and supply chain connectivity between China and the member countries is not high, and that has had a certain impact on the export trade of China to the other member countries. This paper selects RCEP member countries as research samples to explore the impact of logistics performance of RCEP member countries on China’s export trade, which is of great significance for promoting China’s export trade to other member countries from the perspective of logistics. This paper collects the data of the logistics performance index from 2007 to 2018of RCEP countries, and the trade volume of China’s exports to RCEP member countries, analyzes the current situation of the logistics performance level of RCEP member countries and the current situation of China’s export trade to each member country. The analysis found that there exists differences in the logistics development and China’s trade integration with each country in the RCEP member countries. Then, through the extended gravity model and the sample data of RCEP countries, the empirical analysis shows that the improvement of the logistics performance level of countries in the RCEP region is conducive to promoting China’s export trade to the country; The sub-indicators of logistics performance are also analyzed. Each sub-indicator also has a positive impact on China’s export trade. On this basis, the country matrix is established according to the high, medium and low level of logistics performance and the relatively low and relatively high level of China’s trade integration. The specific situation of the logistics development level and import trade from China in each category of countries in the matrix is analyzed. The following conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Logistics performance has a positive effect on promoting China’s export trade to other RCEP members.(2)The six sub-indicators of logistics performance have different degrees of impact on China’s export trade to other RCEP member countries,and(3)To promote the development of China’s export trade,we need to pay attention to four types of countries.According to the conclusions of this paper, from the perspective of promoting logistics cooperation and export trade development between China and RCEP other member countries, this paper puts forward relevant suggestions such as promoting the interconnection of regional logistics infrastructure, promoting the integration of customs clearance of RCEP member countries, using digital technology to promote logistics service innovation, and adopting different logistics cooperation strategies for different types of countries in the matrix. |
