| With the economic globalization and the development of Information infrastructure such as Big data, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things, digital service trade,as a new form of service trade,is highly valued by all countries.Promoting the construction of Information infrastructure and better enabling trade development is of great significance to China’s future national development. The existing literature mostly analyzes the relationship between Information infrastructure and digital service trade from the perspective of scale, but rarely from the perspective of international competitiveness.Based on previous research results, this study analyzes the impact of Information infrastructure on the international competitiveness of digital service trade from the perspective of international competitiveness, combined with current situation analysis, theoretical analysis and empirical research. This study first reviews relevant research literature at home and abroad;Second, the current situation of global Information infrastructure and the comparative analysis of Information infrastructure in major countries and regions are analyzed;Thirdly, conduct a current and comparative analysis of the international competitiveness of global digital service trade, and analyze the main influencing factors of the international competitiveness of digital service trade;Fourthly,in theory,it analyzes the impact of Information infrastructure on the international competitiveness of digital service trade from the perspectives of direct and indirect impact, and puts forward reasonable assumptions;Fifth, construct an econometric model and conduct empirical research using 158 countries and regions worldwide from 2011 to 2020.Through analysis and research, this study finds that a country’s Information infrastructure can promote a country’s international competitiveness in digital service trade, and this conclusion is still robust after replacing the explained variables, removing Outlier, and replacing the core explanatory variables. The heterogeneity analysis finds that Information infrastructure can significantly promote the international competitiveness of international trade in financial services and ICT services, and has no significant impact on other sectors. In addition,Information infrastructure can promote the competitiveness of economies with larger exports, but has no significant impact on smaller economies. In the mechanism analysis, this study verifies that Information infrastructure can also improve the international competitiveness of digital service trade by reducing information costs and improving export complexity.According to the research conclusions, this study believes that China should orderly promote the construction of current Information infrastructure in the future, and promote the popularity of Information infrastructure;Properly arrange in advance and pay attention to the development level of new Information infrastructure;Promote the upgrading of existing Information infrastructure and improve the quality of information services;Promote the deep integration of the service industry and information technology, and promote the further development and upgrading of digital services. |
